Here we go:

So now if there's ever a world war 3, we're not invulnerable anymore.
-
And since when were you invulnerable?
-
maybe we'll be a little less arrogant and stop being assholes
right now we have infinite power, and it's corrupting us

Before now, every single country that hated us enough to bomb us didn't have the range. Now China, and possibly her allies, do.
-
What's the countdown clock to when the US is forced to admit they're not the only superpower say now?
-
Not that they hate you or anything but... Russia?
-
I was aiming for overall superpower. Russia is a military superpower, but it lacks the economic aspects. China, however, is definitely a full-blown superpower. The question is when do we admit it.
-
I wasn't answering you :p

The Soviet Union was a superpower...when they fell, the present day Russia holds much of that military and technological ability but its not really the economic superpower it used to be. Its influence is still felt far and abroad but not like it was before.
So at the moment, its just the US. But China is close to being called "a super power".

The United States, France, Russia and the United Kingdom all have submarines capable of launching ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads.
Even adding China, it's still a surprisingly short list...
-
double post.
-
China still had ICBMs...they could bomb us if they wanted. As far as the submarine goes, I'm sure it'll probably be noisy as hell, unless they've stolen stuff from us (which they probably did).
[arrogant American]Even so, I doubt it'll be nearly as quiet as an Ohio...we'll be able to hear it.[/arrogant American]
-
Doesn't matter if we can hear it if it already fired off its missiles. My question is whether they're conventional warheads or MIRVs...
-
Knowing the Chinese approach, they'd probably just make sure they have more nukes than the Americans have anti-nuclear countermeasures (that includes anti-sub weapons).

As quiet as the Russian Alfa class?
-
Well, maybe a bit quieter than that...people who know claim those things sound like freakin' rust buckets.

Sub Captain: "We gotta launch this ICBM! Try and sneak past that ship."
*clank clank smack clank whine turn clank clank*
Ship Exo: "Sir, did you hear something?"
Ship Captain: "Not a damn thing."
