Title: anyone have the older cat drivers?
Post by: Singh on December 05, 2004, 07:51:58 am
Anyone have the older cat drivers that work with shinemaps?

The new ones dont show Shinemaps, niether do the Omega drivers. What is the procedure to uninstall the new ones completely? Or can I just overwrite them with the old ones instead?

um i think you can overwrite them, but uninstalling the new first is sometimes a good idea.

But is this serious? Cause I just downloaded the latest Omega drivers other day...
So far biggest issue i found was that their AI support is crap, i had to dissable it to stop artifacts showing up on screen in games such as HL2...

Yeah. I cant see shinemaps using either the latest CAT drivers or even the Omega drivers. Which is why I need the older drivers as I heard it works with that.

They can be downloaded from the ATI site. Which seems to be down at the moment.

http://www.google.com/search?q=Catalyst+4.4+drivers

Can't find any mirrors (never have for the release Catalysts) but the ATI site is working for me ATM and most of those links will do for you.

I didn't know cats were even allowed to drive. Granted, they sometimes take the wheel for a sec so I can pick up my food off the floor, but not actually drive as such.
