This is immediately after i signed on... I had some 5 or 6 random authorization requests too...
:wtf:
What the **** is up with icq these days?
And Sandie: I DEMAND that you remove the F-bomb filter.
-
I've not been ICQ solicited in ages. :( And I'm on all the time... :(
-
Eh, don't use ICQ? It sucks blueberry colored donkey balls.
-
Those taste the best!
-
Turn off the "Allow others to see your status" thing, or whatever it is called. Something along those lines. You wont get them anymore.
-
Ah... yep... It was the 'status from the web' thing... (I think...)
But i never turned it on... :nervous:
-
i started using icq through trillian, and i have yet to get one single piece of spam. and no more ads :D. i can also use msn, aim, and yahoo as well as chat on irc servers. its quite cool and saves alot of tray clutter if you use multiple im services. its not free but nothing a quick search on gnucleus couldnt fix :D
-
trillian isn't free?
-
I got trillian for free. I think there's a paid version called Trillian 'pro' or something, though.
-
Yeah, the basic version is free, and the pro version is paid. Both are about to receive an upgrade which adds, among other things, voice chat for the free version and video chat for the pro version; of course, they'll only work with the services that support them.
-
mmm, Trillian. I used the free version and was so pleased I purchased the full version--mainly because it didn't nag me or bug me once about upgrading.
-
I like gaim (http://gaim.sourceforge.net) for IM stuff. It's free/open and I can use one IM client on all the OSes I use.
-
i got the pro version. and becuase it works i dont see me upgrading any time soon. gaim looks good though, i might try it next time i thump my machine.
