Title: Is there a command line for all ships/weapons available in all missions?
Post by: phatosealpha on December 09, 2004, 08:39:29 pm
OK, so it's a cheat.  But I imagine we've all played FS2 enough times that it's not like we're robbing ourselves of gameplay or anything - and there are plenty of times I'd like to just cruise through the whole game in a Mara, eviscerating enemies and whatnot.

Does such a commandline exist?

Edit:  Ack.  put this in the wrong forum.  Could a mod kindly move it to the SCP forum?

Aye.  That's a useful command, not exactly what I was asking for.

What I would imagine to do any good would be a commandline that automatically activates cheats and bears them in mind. I would not have to type in www.freespace2.com every time I start a mission and my invulnerability will be active in every mission I fly.

he wants a cheat that lets you use any ship or weapon in any mission, regaurdless of the mission's team loadout. also to be able to use mods in the main campaign

Is there a cheat or commandline which enables all ships in the techroom?

I think it's impossible to do this with a Command-Line.. because the Ships/Weapons for the Mission stands in the Mission File.. the only option is to Edit the Loadouts for every Mission to play with all Ships and all Weapons.

Do it with VPview and FRED, if you really want it so much.

Nothing may be impossible but a lot of things are more trouble than they are worth.

This sort of mission change can be accomplished in about 20-30 seconds in FRED so if it takes more than about 10 minutes for a programmer to make it's simply not worth it for a programmer to do.

phatosealpha : If your problem is that you don't know how to FRED this just post and I'll put up some instructions. Even if you've never touched FRED in your life this sort of change amounts to nothing more than opening the mission and ticking a few boxes.

Ah, I'm sure I can figure out fred if I need to.  Just seemed inefficient, really, and worth asking if there already was an option doing that, perhaps for testing purposes.
