The beta test is slowly trudging forward. When we're closer to being done with episode one's testing another set of screens wil most likely be released.

Only spelling I guess. He personally contacted me via ICQ why I spelt my campaign as Renegade Ressurgence instead of Renegade Resurgence. In that ICQ session he told me he hated spelling mistakes.

I correct grammar, too. Ace is notorious for making run-on sentences by joining two sentences together with only a comma. :p
The 29 avatars was just until I got my staff avatar working. I needed something to stand out in the meantime. ;)

Technically they are not 'run on sentences.' They're generally ones that just need to swapped for a semicolon.

Agatheron (as far as I know) was not involved with BWO.
Kellan and Dynamo are currently enemy combatants of the GTVI and have brooms in multiple orifaces due to their attempts to leak intelligence documents Admiral Kepler entrusted with them. It's a risk that comes with the job...

Agatheron participated in a few discussions at the very beginning but he hasn't been involved since before the old trailer came out. He never did any missions or really contributed to the storyline...Kellan and I just sort of hoped he'd get involved. But real life takes precedence and he got busy. It happens.
Same with Kellan. He's busy with life...I haven't heard from him in a while. I'm the only guy from the start....
Thankfully we've got Ace and now Goober, BD, and our beta testing crew to help us out. I'm feeling mostly spent on BWO but thanks to Ace and the other guys we pushed through and got the missions done. Now were testing them...which includes spelling :D

BWO is going. E1M12 is being tested now.
Which goes upto E1M20 (as I remember) and then starts at E2M1-12 and E3M1-12.
Something like that...alot of missions :)

Its not any special MOD, its a Leviathan cruiser. IIRC it survived the entire derelict campaign without getting destroyed while every other ship had the opposite luck. I think it even survived the full scale shivan assault. I just thought it might be kind of cool to...u know...see it in action again.

It's not exactly wrong either. If you're using commas for lists, then ", and" is wrong, but if you're using it to denote a break in the timing of the sentence, then ", and" is acceptable.
At least, that was what I was taught.

Kellan and I figured out a way to "incorporate" Derelict and Warzone's storyline to form a minor amount of backplot to the new campaign.
BWO is entirely new in its own right...but if you played Warzone and/or Derelict then you'll notice a few tips of the hat.

In the case of my correction to TopAce's post, it was right. He had two sentences joined to form a compound sentence. The way you do that is with a comma and a conjunction. Therefore, a comma followed by the word "and" is correct. :p

You should use a comma before the last item of a list, except where it would cause confusion.

Though if I were writing the sentence I would reword it even in the first case so as to keep the comma in its proper place.

We aren't planning on the Hades MK2 being in BWO.
If we were truly wicked we wouldn't have announced the Golgotha and would have rumors about a new Hades in the campaign :p
Anyway as a response to High Max:
There are no Shivans in BWO.
If there were Shivans in the campaign, the take on them would be closer to how they're handled in Warzone more than Derelict.
However, let's just say there are few cooincidences in the BWO storyline...
As for cameos, it's no secret that there are quite a few. In fact a few main and reoccuring characters in BWO are in Warzone and Derelict. There are also a few characters from FS2 as well.

They're there, but more subtle. There's a few references to "The Vega Engagement" (the reworked version of Cardinal Spear and CS: Vega).
Most of them are things such as Talania being in a mission or two in Beta Aquilae, visiting Ribos in one, etc.

They're more like different stories taking place in the same timeline. Midly related.
BTW, if there are Twilight tie-ins, does that mean we could be seeing Admiral Soyavo, GTD Morgain, or the Scythes of Twilight sometime in the campaign, or at least mention of them?

But only the ZIPs work, and there's some issue with the Blacktalon model that causes CTDs in missions featuring it. Goober has a fixed version of the Blacktalon somewhere.

Yeah, we've got to make sure we rescue the work that Ace did do and put it on Cold Element.

Yeah, Twilight was one of the greatest campaigns, even though it was so short. It's story was so detailed, and you could tell that a lot of effort went into making it as authentic as possible. It should be preserved on Cold Element, but the bugs with the Blacktalon should be cleaned out.
I am happy to hear that Ace, the great creator of Twilight, is working on BWO, thus serving as a guarantee that this campaign will be a fully emersive experience, and that the greatest efforts will be made to make it as authentic a campaign as possible.

The blacktalon should be scrapped. It was a hideous excuse for a model. I don't care who made it, it was a capsule with a thruster. :ick:

Icefire, a couple download links are broken on the Cold Element website including Derelect, so I was forced to download Derelect off of the Volition Watch Archives today
Because they aren't uploaded to CE yet.

The bugs with the Creon (Blacktalon) and my general distate of it are why Twilight hasn't been re-released.
I was talking with Setekh a while back about doing new command briefing animations and someone fixing the model/making a new one.
Now if there were any volunteers for both remaking the Creon and doing new animations (even high quality still renders that match with the FS2 style) I'll gladly re-release the campaign.
Also the NPW-2 is not crap, it's just misunderstood :p (It has its uses... it is a good supporting weapon)
Anyway, Julia Talstavi has been reassigned to a new squadron in BWO. A certain member of Blackwater squadron who might be more endearing than Mackie has a crush on her ;)

Twilight occurs in 2372. Also the plot does tie-in with BWO in some ways, so there's more closure then you'd think.
However, there won't be a re-release until there's a new version of the ship and new CB-animations as well.

The NPW-2 is good against shields, bad against hulls. Give me a mix with that and the Maxim and I'll be a happy pilot.
What's wrong with the original CB animations, though? They were quite good, really.

I think so too.
If it were me, I'd just add the fixed Black Talon and upload the original campaign. Then, when you get new stuff, upload the rerelease. Sort of like Inferno with R1 and re-R1.

NPW-2C is introduced in BWO...its essentailly the same gun with a higher energy drain and more hull damage. Its almost worth it now :)
EMP cannon is fun too.
Tho, the Kayser/Prom S loadout, when available, its still the crushing blow.

No...that was Ace's campaign.
I did Afterman (FS1), Warzone (FS2), and currently BlackWater Ops (FS2). Few other things here and there.
I tested Derelict and Twilight tho. Good campaigns!

I'm guessing to use it; i.e. the same ship class and name - like putting the GTD Aquitane or Psamptik, etc, in a mod.
