*shrug* Hi. Just someone getting back into FS2 for a while... However, I have a question (still half-wondering if this is the right forum to ask in or if it's just one for showing off stuff but...) As it has been a while for me since I've last played it, I've been recently looking at all the mods done by all sorts of people.
My question is, what should I download? There's a lot of mods FS-related and some otherwise (but are great nonetheless). Some of 'em I'm well aware of their existance (and therefore have) and some I'm not, which is why I'm asking.

:welcome:
thats a real good question.
A nice list of campaigns can be found here: http://fs2.kissifrot.com/
Also it would be a good idea to check out the Source code project forum (two up from this one) and make sure you bring something to reattach your jaw.
just for good measure:

in responce yo yer question: all of them :)
welcome to HLP!

Homesick is a good place to start. Derelict is a community classic, but it's hard for some new guys to use as it can be buggy.
-
i agree with KT.....also try the FSPort if you liked FS1

This is the right forum. Welcome to HLP, Chris. :)

Welcome to the Hard Light Productions facility, where we research and implement all sorts of features to the game Freespace 2.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the tram, and take a seat. Current topside temperature is, 34 Degrees Centigrade, weather conditions are mild, and the toxic gas cloud is predicted to move north today.
In case of emergency or a disaster, napalm throwers are located underneath your seats, but you'll need to them half-life crowbar style as they are empty (we didn't have the $$ to get the napalm). Plasma rifles are located in the lockers up front, but these can only be opened by [V], an Admin, a hyperintelligent shade of the color blue, or a build of FS2_Open that has G.e.o.m.o.d.d.i.n.g. in it.
Should you encounter a shivan presence in the vents, fear not, for it is only Carl. Give him your lunch (or lunch money) and he'll leave you alone.
Do not mention FS3 without reading Karajoma's FAQ (which is your best friend btw) or the Wiki (your other best friend), nor shall you mention the name of the fouleth one (*cough* Derek Smart *cough*) more than once!
Have a safe, and productive day.

Try to figure out the SCP first before downloading anything else. With SCP you can create folders for each mod and slect which to use so that you dont mess with your FS2 main folder. Derelict is the first campaign I played, and its great. Try Homesick, too. I've barely played half of the stuff that's out here for us but you're in for a lot of fun stuff. Welcome.

Homesick is the new Derelict.
