This is from one of our later scenarios in chapter 2. Thanks to DaBrain for his updated effects and Woomeister for doing the uploading to FP.

Just a note that the original vid was 60mb so I recompressed it, so the quality is slighlty lower than originally planned, but it isn't too bad.

Well here's a bit of status:
I've spent about 8 hours each day for the last 3 days working on the models. All the current models are up to date except for 3, so that's 3 out of about 180-200. Only a few models needed and most are weapon models now.
Weapons I'm not sure on, I don't work on those :p
Missions 1-8 exist, but none are finalised.
If you want to break the ships down to factions:
Terran:
Perseus Advance needs glowpoints readded, and our newest station needs some pof data.
Vasudan:
Vasudan version of the Terran station also needs pof work.
Currently looking for a Corvette model
EA:
Umm done I think, at least pof wise, untill I get the HTL Lindos. Has our biggest HTL model collection :)
Shivan:
Fixing minor issues recently, should be done or almost done. Might remap the Gigas to use less maps if I can find the original conversion file (unlikely) the Gigas uses lots of maps and is the only ship left now I think that requires an INF Build to use.

How many capships are in this mission.
I've counted 3 vasudan destroyers, 1 shivan destroyer, cruiser and corvette.
Someone said that there will be less capships in R2, but I think that more capships= more cool battles.

Shivans have 2 destroyers, 2 cruisers and 1 corvette in that mission.
There's more capships, but less involvement of the larger ones, and they are used more for specific roles.
So no Independence taking on the EA fleet mostly alone :)
So far the Ind has only been mentioned, don't know if and when it'll show up though :p

I think battles will be more deadly with those high fire rate beam cannons . Those bastard shivan fighters/bomber will no longer survive :D

Same works in reverse though, enemy weapons fire at a faster rate too, though on lower difficulties the boost isn't as high as the friendly fire rate boost.

Cruisers are your worst nightmare and your best friend, get the enemy to chase you towards a friendly anti-fighter cruiser and they'll go down fast. However stay away from enemy cruisers unless your in something heavy, or you won't last too long.

No I won't put the original up, at 12k upload it'll take about an hour to upload it, and the entire mod is only 127mb right now, so a 60mb video is kind of pointless :D

erf, 127 mb for the entire Inferno released 2 ??? ouch it's to small than the R1 .
News ships are they integrate into those 127 mb ?? Or we need to d/l the ship pack from the R1 ?

It's smaller as there's no spinning ship animations and there's no cb animations added yet. Those ssanis took up a lot of space.
That 127mb is the current beta version I put together last week, I think now it's about 132mb with some updates and missing files. That includes all the ships, weapons and interface art and other stuff.
R1 isn't compatible with this release, so you can't use the older R1 versions of the models.

I don't have winzip so I stick to rar files, even though I could make zip files with winrar :p

And kudos to the Inferno team. The trailer (and probably R2) is a real shower what is possible with the SCP :yes:

I should do some R1 standard, R1 SCP and R2 SCP comparrison pictures.

It's not so much that I don't want to get Winrar, as I'm not allowed to. If it runs off electricity in this house, it's probably not mine, if you'll understand ;).

Well, at least that's what it looked like to me. Pity about the 10,000 plus Vasudans in the Hedette, though.
Oh, and the scattergun thingie was neat too.

The Shivan main ship that seemed to be causing the most trouble seemed to be that destroyer class ship that resembles a Rakchassa. Am I right about that?

That would be the SD Yama, which does have similar features and design to the Rakshasa, yes.

The Yama was a powerful destroyer from OTTs later chapters. The model was never finnished so I got permission to use it after OTT was cancelled.
Since it wasn't finnished it was not included in the OTT modpack that was released, and so remains an Inferno exclusive.
I like the Yama a lot :D

You do have Defiler Pak? If you don't, grab it here (http://hellninjacommando.com/defilerpak/). It will solve most of the playback issues.

That seems like a good pack, but I would caution people against using such things as they sometimes cause lots of trouble when using old (even built in) codecs such as MS Video 1. Your safest bet is to download DivX, XVid, and maybe OGG codecs individually as they'll play nearly everything in existence and uninstall cleanly should you need to update.

im sorry to revive, but get winace. www.winace.com, i think, is the place. the only downside is that once you exceed the evaluation period, then it pops up asking you to buy it. of cource, all you need to do is close that window (its shareware, i think) and then you can use it normal. sometimes you have to open the files from within winace though, instead of just clicking on them.
my opinion on it is: it gets teh job done well enough :) it works.,
[edit] oh, nvm. im not reviving, am i :) thought that said '12', not '22'... heh...
