these dumb retards in DC honestly think baseball will bring in money :ha:

Their metro system is bankrupt and they think that building a multi million dollar stadium and bringing in a baseball team will help the situation. I mean the situation in general.

They're politician in the heart of the american political machine, they think they can fix any social/civic by spending exhorbitant sums of money in utterly meaningless ways.

Although it's not as if the baseball team could do any worse in DC than it's done in Montreal. Hell, everyone hated them there. I was at an Expos game once...they were playing the BoSox. Olympic Stadium was probably the most full it's ever been for an Expos game. 18,000 screaming Sox fans had crossed the border. If I hadn't known better, I'd have thought I was at Fenway.

Now, whether this is good for the city of DC, I can't say. But it can't be bad for the team.
