Worker Sacked for Selling Pudding (http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=oddlyEnoughNews&storyID=7126192)
-
Yeah. I heard about this. They claim it's a security risk apparently!
-
Ahh. Because it wasn't truly his to sell... gotcha. Cruel, that queen.
-
Now, you see, if they'd given the pudding an ID card this problem would never have occurred.
-
Aha. So is this "pudding" as in "dessert" or "pudding" as in "gloopy sweet stuff"?
Am I right in getting the impression that British pudding - the meal - encompasses everything from ice cream to fruitcake to crêpe suzette?
-
It can mean the same thing as "dessert", i.e. the last course of a meal, or it can be a specific thing like a rice pudding, sticky toffee pudding, christmas pudding, etc.
EDIT: In this case, it's a christmas pudding, so it's a thing.
