And I think it sucks compared to the original. It just... lacks something. Linkin Park usually  = :yes:, this time :no:

Any other opinions of folk remixing their own songs?

Jesus christ, that album is at least a year old (possibly two).  I might have liked Reanimation, had it not been for sale as a full-priced CD.  I feel that originality should be the bulk of what I pay for.  Thus explains why I don't buy albums anymore.

The new LP album with Gay-Z is sure to fail miserably in the eyes of anyone with taste (meaning, of course, it'll be top 10 of all time).

If that's the album where they remixed Numb and added in more rap, then I didn't like it. I actually liked that song, though it would have benefited from a nice guitar solo (riight).

im gonna have to go pick up HCDR when i go xmas shopping tomorrow

and the only LP song i liked was Pushing me away, and its not even on my playlist anymore

I highly recommend it. I have it and Follow the Reaper, and it is definantly the better of the two.

On reflection however, after acquiring other tracks I actually like Reanimation. The reason I ain't had it until now was because I haven't had the time to acquire it.

Anyway, new material is required now...

Um... right. *Completely bewildered*

I hate Linkin Park. They can't write good songs, the most complicated thing they do with a guitar is a powerchord, and they have a "dj". They're terrible. If you want some proper rap/rock stuff, go and listen to RATM or Faith No More. They do it properly, and it's very, very good. Linkin Park are very, very mediocre.
