Why do people insist on using Yahoo for pics?? They are too small and go down after a few views, due to bandwith limitations...
The pics are too small to see the details clearly. Looks good, though. Get bigger pics, and use imagehosting or some other, just don“t use Yahoo.

actually, i designed this to be a terran jugernaut capable of defeating a sathanas for an idea i had for a campaign and the nose thing is a place for a huge beam cannon. I am planning on adding a lot of detail

Cool. Reminds me of a Perseus-like freighter. Welcome to HLP, brugger. :)

c914 is right - a PERFECT troop transport for boarding operations.

Texture it, give it slightly more armor than the Argo has, equip with 4 turrets (2 flaks + 2 AAAfs, for example) and there you go.

What's the size of this thing? I think it should be somewhere between Elysium and Argo.

EDIT: I think the "chin" should be placed under the "neck", not under the "head". More docking flexibility.

I'd go with C914's suggestion if I were you. The community is somewhat sick of superjuggernauts and the campaigns they appear in. Most modellers tend to go through a phase where they want to model the biggest, nastiest ship in the galaxy but after a while it just becomes a "who has the biggest dick" competition.

A new troop transport on the other hand would be very useful. Loads of people in the community could find a use for such a thing as not many people model such mundane ships. If you did a good job texturing it as a troop ship I guarentee this would be used :)

Of course this is your ship so you're welcome to do with it what you want :)

Make it a traditional destroyer, there are few of them.

Nonono! I hereby INSIST that you make it a great TROOP TRANSPORT. ;)

Karajorma is right. There are too many monster-killers around. Maybe transports don't seem to be THAT exciting, but they're needed. They're necessary for every mature campaign.

Same thing with other specialty ships, like medical frigates (there's the Hippocrates and... what?), freighters, army science vessels, repair craft...

I really love your design, brugger, but it's a troop transport. :D

Yes, there are a lot of Monster-killer JUGGERNAUTs, but not destroyers.

There are more destroyers than Troop Transports though. In fact the only one I can find on my big DVD of mods is Trashman's Barracuda Transport.

If, by accident :D, you choose the troop transport route, it'd probably be a good idea to remove the "legs". They make no real sense and a troop transport should be as sleek as possible to avoid as much pounding as possible.

Ideally, make it fast and armored enough to approach the Orion (or Hecate) and still be in a better-than-critical condition.

Personaly the premise of large ships has never appealed to me, and tend to have a hard time straying away from Fighters Bombers and turrets

Whatever type ship you will make it, do not make it a bombero r a fighter. The design is not typical for FS fighters. In other universes it may fit, I don't know which ones because I know only a few of them.

I really like this, brugger. :)

:welcome:

It would look really good as an assault transport - don't make it huge, just slightly larger than an Argo. Give it a couple of flak turrets and a couple of lasers, and make it fast.

It needs some more detail on the engine pods (the bits hanging down from the wings), but it's very promising. :)

I messed with the model a bit to make it more like a troop transport. the four outer engines would give it better Maneurvablity and i slid the chin back a bit to allow for easier docking. It does make a good transport but i still want to work with it as a jugernaut too becasue the GTVA is going to have to have something capable of going toe to toe with at least one sathanas for any campaign invovling a full scale war with the shivans

That's fine. Make two. Release the transport to the community while keeping the juggernaut for your campaign :D
