- 1995 : Chris Taylor starts making it for Humongous Entertainement
- 1997 : GT Interactive purchases Humongous from Ron Gilbert and Shelley Day.
- 1997 : As Humongous Entertainment was usually doing baby videogames, to avoid taunting when announcing a great RTS, they decide to create a small company, called Frozen Yak. Eventually they find that Cavedog sounds better

- 2002 : Infogrames announces that they asked a small Korean company called Phantagram to develop a TA2

Found this very intresting while browsing through TAU

Shouldn't this be moved to the main Hard Light forum?

I chatted with Chris Taylor at the end of 2002 I think, we were discussing ideas for a (non-starter) TA2 game we had in mind. At around the same time I think we chatted to Jeremy Snook and someone else on IRC as well when they had just started brainstorming for 'TA2', it was cool :)

It could be interesting, but I'm taking a 'wait-and-see' attitude on this one. Kingdoms wasn't that great, IMO, not as good as TA.
-
Well Kingdoms wasn't a Chris Taylor title, he'd left Cavedog by then. But then I wasn't too enthusiastic about Dungeon Siege, it was basically a better-looking Diablo clone.
-
I was JUST looking up TA-related news on Gamespot not 5 minutes ago! Great timing on the info, Krackers.
