Can you help me find a site (not OC remixes) where you can download original music from games like Donkey Kong in high quality and real instruments?
-
If one did exist, I would be all over it like dogs on a leg...
-
The Donkey Kong soundtrack had high quality real instruments? ;)
Anyway, if you're looking for music that was ripped directly from the game itself, try here (http://www.zophar.net/music.html). Each system has its own special format, but there are plugins for winamp that'll play them.

Some of my favorites from OC_Remixes (http://www.ocremix.org/)
OC_Remix Example 01 (http://www.ocremix.org/songs/Donkey_Kong_Country_ThrashthePlank_OC_ReMix.mp3)
OC_Remix Example 02 (http://www.ocremix.org/songs/Donkey_Kong_Country_Blue_Vision_OC_ReMix.mp3)
I want the originals in this quality :)

Well good luck finding those then. ;) They don't make too many redone orchestrated versions. But you can find them through certain morally ambiguous ways.

http://www.vgmusic.com/?
EDIT: Oh...real instruments, whoops. I have no idea where to get those...
-
Pretty cool Solatar! :)
But I would love it if there was any real instrument remakes of them
-
Oh, here's a place I nearly forgot. They have a ton of game music (OSTs and redone) among their ftp servers. The only requirements are an ftp client (they're quite ban happy with their ftp servers) and a whole lot of patience.
