5 minutes extracting running my fix of pof2cob then resizing and setting up a red inifinite light..

If so, that's much easier than it was before. Blasted pof->cob->3DS conversion screws up textures like a son of a *****.

yes, and I even converted them to bmp, but there is only one that shows...

For FS2 capships, they would never be on one bmp. Having only one bmp stops it from having good tiling, making the entire texture - much, much too large.

I had this problem too and I use TS1 as well could you at least try to fix this? Your version didn't even make an attempt to convert the textures unlike its GUI counterpart.

I think this all blue thing is because of the way TS1 handles textures. It doesn't know UV per face, so it is not able to load the textures correctly. If the problem appears with TS4 you could try to load the model into 3D Exploration and resave it under a different name.

This also fixed the mirrored ships problem
*** Textures work now, he had them in overlay mode which is why they would disapear in a rneder
*** Had to uncouple the GUI from his conversion, a bit of a pain

2 reasons:
1)any good paint program can do the conversion
2) I don't have the include libs that Krueger was using for the gfx

Truespace can handle face map, it just can't do it itself (I know, I'm importing 3ds files in TS1, and it works perfectly). And finally, I get my Ravana to have one (!) map to work... Ha never mind, this prog just doesn't like me (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif). If someone could send me a 3ds version of the demon, of the dragon, the manticore and the scorpion , that should be nice (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) . You wouldn't need to put the maps in the zip file, just the converted model with the map coordinates and id's applied.

True, but it makes it a helluva lot more convenient if the translator did it for you, but if you didn't have the libs thats fair enough.

I finally managed to convert the Hades properly (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
And for converting textures, there's a program called IrfanView that is good at batch conversion. It's located (strangely enough) at http://www.irfanview.com/ ("http://www.irfanview.com/") (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
