Well, since FREDers have their FRED academy and stickified everything they need, why not do it for others as well

What I basicly propose is a stickifyied Texture/Maps thread where people put their home made textures for grabbing (let's face it, textures are one of the worst problem of any shipmaker)

And another, model thread, wehre people would put the models they stopped doing, or don't want to finish (a coolective modeldup if you wish)..

I belive this would give  boost to the modding comunity...Any comments?

Now that is a good idea. I'm in dire need of some textures for my Iron Duke model (and the ships that will follow it up), so I'd find something like this very helpful. :nod::yes:

I have made a few and I would gladly put them up for download, but untill I find some webspace, that will have to wait.

Glad to see that at least someone is heating up to this idea..

I'm surprised tht there were no comments at all. Not even spam....

Not really a limit. You can store what you want (any files) to but since I am running this server from my connection I would appreciate it if you diddnt take up a monster amount of bandwidth.

Didn't spot this one earlier but I'm 100% behind the idea. Something like the FA wouldn't work as well for modelling but I'm always behind projects to get the community to work more closely.

Hell, I'll scroune up a few textures I found/made and put them for download...

It's not much, mostly edited FS2 textures with colour changes, but they do the trick..

I'll upload them later...

I allso added a small texture pack. I use some of those a lot, so If you are going to download my models, you better get those too...

hey, if the texture guys could post some relatively simple texture tutorials as well(or even links to some), that'd be nice as well :)
