What is your top 3 out of the games you’ve played?
Mine would have to be:
1. Admiral Aken Bosch (Freespace 2)
2. Kuja (Final Fantasy 9)
3. New Orion’s (Master of Orion 3)
-
Dr Robotnic
-
TNO, Torment.
Also Vendolin Detta and Kane.
-
in no particular order
dravis (descent series)
punk ass greedy buisnessman, fittine he died by the flare gun of the guide bot
robohitler (wofenstein)
need i say more
kerigan (starcraft/brood war)
i love that characters evolution from sweet innocent spec ops agent to that cunning zerg b!tch we all know and love
-
Again, in no particular order;
Bosch (Freespace 2)
Diaz (GTA: Vice City)
AC Milan (Pro Evolution Soccer 4)
-
I have more than 3 and in no particular order.
The Shivans (Freespace 2)
Dr. Betruger (Doom 3)
Lance Vance (GTA: Vice City)
Officer Tenpenny (GTA: San Andreas)
The Covenant (Halo)
-
LaCroix (Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines)
Yuppie vampire Euro trash in a suit. If you do the right ending, he has the coolest death ever. Not because of anything he does, but because of what someone does to him.
Dr./Administrator Breen (Half-Life 2)
Just something about his voice, very well acted.
Admiral Petrov (Starlancer)
Standard evil Russian bad guy. So much fun taking down his flagship.
-
Kefka
Bosch
Kerrigan
-
Ganondorf
Walton Simons
Kane

Breen has a passing resemblence to Anthony Hopkins...
he's a cool badguy.. tho
Mobius (legacy of Kain Series, most notably SR2 and Defiance)
given how he looks when either Raziel or Kain don't do what he's supposed to, yeah, it's pretty cool..
Cyber-Errol (Jak3)
This guy is just psycho, and the way he just says this quote, is downright amusing:
"Don't fret. You won't live to see what I turn this little world into. Maybe a rock, or a floating puddle of slag, or maybe nothing at all -- Complete oblivion! So hard to choose"
-
Shivans (You should know from where.) The Shivans roxxor. Period. End of paragraph. End of page. End of story.
The Coalition States (Rifts) Yeah, they're unquestionably evil...but they also represent what is likely the last best hope for humanity on Earth.
The Protectors of the Garden (Homeworld) The Kadeshi really convey an impression of being pyschotic: it has to do with the boring monotone with which they make dire threats. And they have nifty ships, too, which I can steal for myself and beat the crud out of the Taiidani with.
-
Mantorok from Eternal Darkness. He's Evil AND way smarter and more clever than anyone else.
-
Kane(all c&c games except RA2 and generals)
The Three and their minions(Diablo 2)
Seifer and Ultimicia(FF8)
-
Carl(Shivan:D)
Riddick
Xan Kriegor(UT)
-
hmm...
1. Shivans
2. Solus (Breakdown, he just WONT DIE!)
3. Mobius (Legacy of Kain series)
4. Robohitler
5. The covenant.
-
Why so many consider Bosch "evil" :wtf: You just don't realize his great masterplan :o And as for my choices:
Shared 1st place: Kefka (FFVI) & Kuja (FFIX). Both are gorgeus looking, Kuja has a wonderful palace and Kefka is a honestly insane, nihilistic villain (best looking last boss, too). And they also nearly destroyed the entire world :D
2nd place: SHODAN :mad2:
3rd: Walton Simons, from Deus Ex
EDIT: And dammit GD, I was about to make a thread exactly like this! :D

Seconded. And the Projenitors from Homeworld 2. :shaking:
-
Julia Thorne (I think that was her name) - Max Payne 1 (more for the story than, but her death also rocked with the way you stop the helicopter..)
Dr. Breen - HL2, mainly because his communications you overheard helped you see who was really behind the alien invasion. Also because his speeches sounded distinctly familiar to a certain British PM.
-
-Darth Nihilus (shame that they didn't really tell much about him
-Mobius (Lok series
-Cyber-errol ( I think he was quite funny hehe
-Sephiroth (he was badass
-Shodan (SS
-
SHODAN (System Shock)
Creepy sentient AI with all ethical constraints removed. And connected to mining lasers, biological mutators and an army of robots and cyborgs - recipe for absolute evil, no? And a voice that sends shivers down your spine, naturally.
Irenicus (Baldur's Gate 2)
Not the most original villain but with David Warner doing the voice together with his fascination with stealing souls and slaughtering prissy elves he makes for quite a good character.
Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
He just looks so cool and has the most ridiculously long katana thing ever. Better than all the other FF villains I've seen so far ;)
-
Mechahitler
LINK (Beneath a Steel Sky)
GS343
-
Shivans
NTF
DS
...It seems that FS2 is the only game I play... Can't think of anybody/anything else to be my fav nemesis...
-
Constantine, from Dark Project
And yeah, Kane. kane was cool.
-
No particular Order:
Shivan (FS2- yeah, they're the big 5 legged spider things with super ships...just in case you didn't know)
Skeith (.hack INFECTION- A Manifestation that looks like hes made of cratered rock, and has this wicked staff. The music that plays when you fight him is unmatched)
Sephiroth (Final Fantasy 7- Black cloak, silver hair, and a sword roughly 2 times as long as he is tall)
Hmm...they all start with S's. Odd...
-
Not a game, but Kageshima Anotsu from Blade of the Immortal is a cool nemesis.
Shodan from Shock deserves a mention too. Oh and Akuma fron Street Fighter 2.
-
1. The tunnel towards the core of Death Star 2 in XWA. Made me bite my keyboard. :hopping:
2. Shodan.
3. That super-laser-station in the last Starlancer mission.
-

I'm a big fan of Bowser too. I mean the guy contantly gets his arse handed to him but he's never a sore loser. He's also always ready to join in with the golf, karting, tennis or whatever. You know what I'm saying? The guy doesn't hold grudges. And he's always ready to have another go at Peach (who wouldn't, she's hot). He's got patience and imagination. All in all, Bowser has my respect and makes for a sound role model for villains everywhere

@ <-- The Wizard of Yendor from Nethack (http://www.nethack.org)! :D
-
in no particular order
Shodan
Admiral Bosch
Bob Page/Helios/the Illuminati
the G Man.
-
Pyramid Head (Silent Hill 2)
The Dahaka (Warrior Within)
Moebius (Legacy of Kain)
-
Ones I hated and wanted to kill intensely (i.e. these were damned Good games :P)
Shodan (System Shock)
Kerrigan (StarCraft)
Harkov (TIE Fighter)
Irenicus + Saravok (Baldur's Gate 1&2)
Brenden Corbit (MechWarrior 3)
-
- Kerrigan (Starcraft; just something about her that makes me giggle with evil)
- Bosch (FS2; not exactly as an evil bugger; just because he was a villain that didn't fall in with the rest of game nemesi)
- To agree with Bob, Robotnic (hey, anyone who traps little furry animals in giant eggshells and has those funky vehicle-turned-helicopters is bad***)
- Orcs (WC series; 1st and 2nd, actually; Undead happen to be the best for WC3)
- Morgan Tech (Derelict; hey, it had to be mentioned)
-
Now this guy... this guy I've had actual genuine nightmares about...

Resident Evil 2, right? Yeah, he scared the crap outta me on the second run through the RCPD station with Claire. :shaking:
-
Fighting him in as the Umbrella Agent was interesting. There I was, with little health, two Magnum Rounds and the Pistol in the tight corridor leading to the Helicopter crash on the cop shop roof.
I was pluggin' away, fully expecting to die, when he collapsed, like, 1 foot away from me.
-
I never did complete that bit, I couldn't get past the plant monsters. I was a whizz at the Mercenary game in RE3, mind.
Nah, that Tyrant variant is literally the stuff of my nightmares. He just... won't... STOP. I've dreamed of being chased by him more than once.
When he first crashed down through the roof after being dropped in by helo, I heard him comming and prepped me shotgun. Suddenly this huge figure appears around the corner and I remember actually yelling out "hold it right there or I'll drop you". When I laid the smackdown on him and he didn't die, I fair shat meself :D
And then at the end of RE3 you come across a room with several dead mercs and three or four dead Tyrants and you just think "oh ****ing hell"...

I soiled my pants after I had to fight him the second time... Walking through the halls with Claire, shotgun with acid shells ready, suddenly the music gets quiet, then a little tense... I keep walking, and suddenly, out of nowhere, in the silence, BOOM! Through the wall that big metal bastard came... I jumped off the bed.
A game has never scared me like that game did.
-
Oh, yeah, when he burst through that wall I literally screamed :D

I know that much, but...
how does that thing scare you? It just doesn't look...frightening. Maybe a little intimidating, but certainly not "the stuff of nightmares." Maybe it's just it's presentation. I'm probably missing something...ah well, who am I to judge? I'm terrified of insects :nervous:.

It's called psychological horror. I mean you use a **** laod of ammo and only just manage to take the ****er down... then you exit that area and are shown a cutscene of it getting back up!. And you think "oh ****, if he appears again will I have enough time and ammo to take him out? Will he ever stay down?" Suddenly your vast arsenal weaponry seems so impotent...
It's the fact that he's this inexorable, relentless, unstopable force which is chasing you and will never ever stop. He could appear anywhere, at any time. Just when you think you're safe the bastard comes crashing through a wall to get you. Birkin only attacks you if you wander in to him, but this thing is actively out to get you :shaking:
