Go ahead, groan... nuclear1's making *another* campaign. In fact, you don't even have to read this thread to know what I'm probably going to say.

Anyway, due to Christmas Break, I've become reattached to FS2, particularly Derelict. As I finished Derelict, I:

1) Got lazy and didn't bother to DL the source.
2) Opened up FRED and started making missions.

As a result, I have a small group of missions so far made for an unofficial follow-up to Derelict. No new mods, except for the Hydra, Shivan Knossos, and the Cypher from the original Derelict.

The point of this thread is that before I get this campaign off the ground, would anyone here be even interested in playing a pre-source FS2 campaign?

theres no such thing as a pre-source...

unless you mean one that will work with FS_retail as well as FSO...
IIRC FSO can work with a 'pre-source' campaign.

id be willing to play it either way :yes:

Pre-source=FS2_retail.

However, if there's a demand for it, I'll d/l FSO and adapt it to that as well.

FSO can work any campaign apart from Inferno & CoW AFAIK

Alright. So how would everyone feel about a 6-7 mission demo within a few days? I've got the first three done... just in need of playtesting.

Just make sure you have Derilict makers permission, and permission to use the Sapham mod.  This could turn sour, you know what FRED'ers are like.

Yeah well both Agatheron & Kellan are MIA so it's hard contact them.:)

Plus, I think the Saphah and the other Derelict models are open to anyone now, so long as you don't take credit for creating the model.

That and Agath and/or Kellan wouldn't be the kind to ***** about anything like that at all.

Simple enough: put the missions and campaign file in your missions folder... yadda yadda yadda.

If I thought that a Deralict rip-off would bring Agatheron & Kellan back (even if just to ***** about it) I'd register an alt-nick and post the biggest affront to the campaign I could come up with.

Once they were back for 5 minutes the SCP would probably be enough to keep them here :D

My campaign is supposed to tie into Derelict as well slightly, mainly because I'm also using the Saphah and there may be a ship here and there which is recognisable. On the whole however, Derelict won't really impact the story very much.
