Title: Lightspeed's nebula problem
Post by: Turnsky on December 26, 2004, 07:59:40 pm
i encountered this when i first installed LS's nebula packs 3 & 6 for that shrouding the light campaign..
this was taken in 3.6.5, no tags, as i was trying to see if those caused them, obviously not.. it's the same in OGL..
it doesn't seem to want to work at all in 3.6
when you look straight ahead...

and when you look over to the right

i'm running the absolute latest catalyst drivers by the way, 4.12 or something.

I think that was the cause of this... it happened back in the day, too. And I think this was somehow linked... Try it on easy, or medium and see what happens.

Possible, but jdjtcagle had the same error, and the TVWP made it a mystery pic...

I believe the backgrounds table gets corrupted, and the wrong images (in your case some asteroids and suns) are rendered instead of the correct nebulae.

The same thing happens to me (and I installed the same packs)

The strange thing is, when I run in the simulator the test missions BackG01 and Backg02 I get that. When I run Backg03 and BackG04, everything works fine...go figure...

Deleting the kpack.vp solved this problem instantly for me
