My fav three would have to be:
1. Full Metal Panic
2. Martian Successor Nadesico
3. Dominion Tank Police
What about yours? (If you watch Anime)
-
Robotech is, was, and forever shall be my first love.
The 2nd and the 3rd, though, I haven't got a clue. Probably because they change often.
-
Cowboy Bebop probably takes the crown. If this was OVAs or mangas, it'd probably be Kenshin/Samurai X, but as this is animes, Bebop has the advantage....
-
Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop.
-
Evangelion, Trigun and FLCL I guess...
-
FLCL, Hellsing, Naruto.
In that order.
-
Last Exile, was kind of forced to, I love that kind of mecha design, I love that kind of story, Range Murata is my favourite chara designer and Gonzo my favourite anime studio. So voila, it had it all to get the crown, in my case :p
Other than that, dunno, seen too many animes to classify them like that, would be easier by genres, I guess.
-
As they are showing it on Adult Swim right now I have to say Full Metal Alchemist is pretty cool. Though that last episode they ran involved the little girl and her dog being merged by her father, it was sad and heartwrenching when the poor beast got it's memory back, it said "You said you'd come back and play with me big brudder." I almost cried.
All time favorites are Bebop, Gundam(insert title here) except for maybe the first one it's a bit disjointed, and perhaps Rouroni Kenshin, Wandering Samurai(though he doesn't wander all that much)
-
Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Hellsing and Gundam Seed at the moment. Mecha and SF in general otherwise.

I loved Irresponsible Captain Tylor too. Got the DVD box set a couple of months ago for 30 bucks off a friend. :)
-
I've not seen much, but I saw the Cowboy Bebop movie the other day, and it was bloody good. Loved the fighter chase...
I saw most of Evangelion, and I thought it was pretty good, but a bit... dodgy. All the protagonists were very young - not sure about that...
And I saw an episode of Escaflowne - not a clue about the story or characters, but I loved the idea of huge robot thingies swordfighting. That was awesome...
-
Robotech.
I have watched the show since 3rd grade and read the books in 5th.
-
You've actually read the books MatthewPapa? Halleuja!! Are they not better than the show?
-
What Liberator said.
They are indeed. It's funny, too, I actually read the books first, then saw the show.
-
Dragon Ball (_ Z and GT)
Evangelion
and
um
:nervous: Sailor Moon :nervous:
(its what got me into Anime...
Oh yea... What was it called...
Legend of the Overfiend
That was a SICK movie.... :drevil:
-
I watched Evangelion, and for the most part, it was fairly decent. The end, though, needed some help.
Liberator: I have to agree with you on the last episode of Full Metal Alchemist. More than a bit distrubing.....
-
Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell.
Probably the only two I like at all.
None of this "describe exactly how you're going to punch a person, what he might do to counter, what you'll then do, describe what you had for lunch and your most recent bowell movement for half an episode before you actually hit said person."
JUST SHUT UP AND HIT HIM!
-
Last Exile
Legend of lodoss war
Ghost in the Shell.
Samurai X
those i enjoyed
-
Pokemon
Sailor Moon
Pokemon Johto
-
Gundam SEED/Destiny
Naruto
Cowboy Bebop
Gits SAC/2nd Gig
Bleach
for example... not in any particular order
-

I'm rather surprised Nadesico isn't top there, given your nick.
In no particular order:
Ghost in Shell: SAC
Scrapped Princess
Vandread
Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu
Kiddy Grade
Last EXILE
Azumanga Daioh
Witch Hunter Robin
Crest of the Stars
Nadesico
That's the highlights, anyhow. Also doesn't include include anime I'm currently following.
-
Vandread
Last Exile
Don't watch many others, and the ones I did I didn't really like.
-
:nervous: ...holy crap, I thought I was the only male Sailor Moon fan in the world.

Urotsukidoji :p
Funny people stuck on that one, there's much, much worse :p
ngtm1r:
You'd be surprised how many males love Sailor Moon, actually :p. I hate it, it's because of that show that they cancelled Saint Seiya, back then. Ah well, they've started making the Hades chapter two years ago anyway, so I'm still happy ( now they'd better finish it tho :p ).
-
Well, they've started on the next chapter, don't remember the exact name, but you could summarize by calling it zeus' chapter I think. :)
-
Full Metal Alchemist
Rurouni Kenshin
Cowboy Bebop
NG: Evangelion
Full Metal Panic (and Fumoffu)
Ghost in the Shell
Naruto
Macross Plus and Macross Zero
Initial D - _all stages_
Judgments pending on Mai Hime and Bleach...
Some others but forgot.
-
I don't know how anyone can like any of it. I hate it all.
-

Meh. That's pretty much like saying you hate all films, or all games. Anime isn't a genre.

Yeah, but Tenkai Hen sucks. Not as much like as all the other Saint Seiya movies tho.

:( Heretic! lol
(Just messing :) )
-
Does any Hentai count as an answer?
-
Since they mentioned Urot-whatever, I would assume so.:sigh:
-
Hentai ,the nectar of life .
That being said, I got myself an oldie but goodie for Christmas. A DVD box of three of the Dirty Pair movies. Babe in skimpy outfit and big explosions, what else to ask for ? :p
Otherwise, I recommend Mugen no Ryvius, on the basis that it is an excellent study of human behaviour IMO.
edit : urotsukidoji, Lib. Learn to quote :)
That being said, urotsukidoji is light as far as Hentai go. Night Shift Nurse, anyone ? (not my cup of tea either, but many of my friends seem to like this)
-
Macross in all its forms (with the exception of Macross 7) most definately.
-
Berserk
Evangelion
Hellsing
Naruto
-
hmmm... I don't watch anime very much, but I have seen Cowboy Bebop and I think it's excellent. I don't really know who any of the people are but I do like the gunfights.

Night shift nurse is light too :p
As for girls and explosions, try Kiddy Grade, if you liked Dirty Pair, you should like it ( well, if you haven't already seen it, of course, it's famous enough here ). Declic Image has them edited in one nice box set, cheap.
-
Dunno. I bought the Dirty pair cause it was movies (meaning 50-70mn long), so I didn't have to spend 10h in front of a series :p.
Otherwise, true, I would have been all over Kiddy Grade. Babes and explosion combined are like caviar, best taken in small doses .
And if you consider Night shift nurses light, I really don't want what you consider not light :p

Don't think that's knowledge to share on HLP :p
Let's say some seriously sick stuff I couldn't even watch completly, but if you really wanna know, PM me. At your own risk, it's awful ( plus it's well drawn, which makes it even worse ).
Something worst but watchable is Bible Black, but it's kind of sick too :p
-
ROFL
Full Metal Alchemist
Neon Genesis: Evangelion
-
Bible Black keeps appearing on kazaa, wtf is that?
-
Hentai.
-
Yeah but... never mind, forget it.
-
vyper: Ask an0n...
Favorites (not in any order):
Martian Successor Nadesico
Scrapped Princess
Azumanga Daioh
Macross Zero
Macross Plus
Battle Programmer Shirase
Fruits Basket
Bleach
Kare Kano

Dude, thats not right.

Particularly considering some of the rather more violent snuff-film-type hentai...

I'm still waiting for that to be edited in France...
"Oasaka-chan, what are you doing?
-huh... I'm following the dust in my eyes..."
Oh, btw, since you're there, maybe you know some stuff: Ebichu, is it over ( should have been for years, no? ), or are subbers like seriously late?

Bible Black is sick to you? Well...okay, but uhh, I found it more sad than sick.
If you want _sick_ stuff, I suggest you venture into some of the fantastic hentai that displays fecal matter being ejected from natural source with good animation.
Dear god I hated myself when I saw that. The images still haunt me. I did not want to see that.
-
Caught yourself watching Night Shift Nurses eh?

yeah, well, that's more along the lines of what I was talking of earlier :p
BB is sick in the way that some people might have problems with futanari ( shemales ), so yeah, I guess it's sick :p
-
BTW, Nico, don't remember the group, but Ebichu has been fansubbed a long time ago. Try your chance on the mule, and I think you could be onto something. Or I could try to convince a few people on my team to sub it in French, since I doubt this particular series will ever be licenced in France. Though I better watch it, Kaze DID licence Initial D (and just when I was it, damnit :hopping: ).
Just remembered something, but Yukikaze should interest people here, SF dogfight wit an animation like you wouldn't believe :D

Actually, I live in the USA. :p Maybe I'll go back when I get through uni. Last time I was in Japan was about 4 years ago and that was only for 3 weeks.
I did get *some* Japanese TV over here a while back through satellite but that was just the crappy NHK channel with one boring anime series on Sundays (it was Nintama Rantarou, bleh). :blah: The only cool show on NHK is Shinsengumi (drama about pre-Meiji Japan).
-
Fullmetal Alchemist is a great combo of hilarity and seriousness, and the first two runs of Digimon were amusing as well. For #3, it'd have to be that movie Appleseed by Shirow Masamune; I caught a sneak preview at Otakucon/Kunicon Miami and it is a definite must-see. Anyone read the manga for that one?
-
:nervous: I liked the old digimon, too. :shaking:
Haven't seen too much anime, unfortunately. I've watched gundam 0083, and I've a vif clip for a Gackt song that was done with Naruto, but aside from that, I'm in the dark... (Except for the 5 or so episodes of Inuyasha I've seen)
