why all the silence here?.. i realise you guys must be busy, but, can't you at least give us one little sign that this project is still relatively alive? :)
-
Uhhh all the recent topics aren't enough? :)
(what in the heck did I press...if someone gets an automated message, please disregard!)
We're beta testing...thats about it. Not really much to show in the way of screen shots or the like right now. Not too much has changed. Just fixing spelling, fixing play balance...done when its done.
-
The project is dead, we're not working on anything.
It's all over. Don't expect this to be released. Ever.

Save that for april fools :D
-
We have to wait until April?!! :p
-
True, there are also January fools... and February fools... and... well you get the point :p
-
What about Octember? And Februober! You can't possibly forget those!
-
Sorry to intrude for a bit, but since there's a pretty good chance for Ice checking this thread. Can you please check your PM a little more often, 'ta! ;)
-
well, since you're beta testing, that means it's largely finished, therefore, can we expect release in the next few months?...
-
Yes. Next few double digit months.
Keep dreaming. It's not going to happen.
Ever.
I am funny all day long

:nervous:
-
I think I managed to pry a "Within our lifetime." out of them once...or was that Inferno?
-
I'm reminded of the line from Mektek (http://www.mektek.net/forums):

Started beta testing E1M15 now. Work progresses.
-
You'll play it twice sunshine, that's the point :p
You decide for yourself which is the correct one to join though.
-
The choice had better be done cleverly. I don't want to see "Press 1 to go with the GTVA; press 2 to go with the SC." :p The SOC loop screen would be better but unoriginal. What would be really cool is if you could make the choice in-mission by how you handle some major event.
-
You wouldn't. It ends here.

No, no, you see the way we did it was that for the choice mission, you have Drone A and Drone B, and the whole mission otherwise is blank (no stars and backround, etc.).
After you get into the mission, you destroy either drone A or drone B, and that's what decides which side you're on.
I eat shrooms for breakfast.....or was it dinner
By the way, you're the freaking admin. You have access. Just download?

it's really drone 1 and drone 2...
:p

It is. A remarkably simple little moral dilemma, similar in some ways to something that occurs in FS2.
Also who said that the mission branches included the GTVA as a side? ;)

I still like to be surprised. :)
-
I kind of like that Drone A/B idea. Possibly some material for another spoof campaign. :p
-
Uhhh... I dont know if you guys remember this or not, but in the Black Horizon campaign for FS1, the way you chose which side you were on actually had some meaning to it. Perhaps something like that would suffice.
-
No, no. We'll upgrade the drone thing by replacing them with two Terran Crates. It's too troublesome if they move.
Yes, that's what we'll do.
-
what the hell is the Auriga?
-
dude i played Derelict before you prolly even picked up a copy of FS

-

-
Awakenings, Crucible, and Eagle Takes Flight. Ph34r teh 0ld sch00l.
-
Destiny of Peace
Boomerang, Eos Affair
-
We are all old men here.
Actually... I remember the first I ever played of FS was the Freespace 2 demo... The beauty of it just... won me over. Especially when I got the Perseus. Think of the graphics then, before SCP HTL and everything :ha:
Those Awakenings days were quite something too.
-
I just remember how fun it was to play something superior to Wing Commander 5. (release dates were almost the same)
-
Deus Ex Machina and Just Another Day sound boring?!?!?!?
You must play them. Stop what you're doing and play them right now. :D
-
Goober took over your computer.
It's all over now. You have to go buy a new one.
-
haha i cant believe he fell for that......campaign.....goods attempt to control the community
-
the last mission includes coding, all your personal information is sent to Goob' s comp or something like tht...
:nervous:

Um, no. :wtf:
Deus Ex Machina was written for FS2 retail, so it should work when you run it on retail with no other mods installed. What probably happened was that you used fs2_open and ran into a rendering bug, or you had incompatible mods.
Either that or you had adware (which is different from viruses). Try scanning your computer with Ad-Aware or Spybot.
And FYI, I didn't write Just Another Day. That was Axem. ;)
-
Right...
Well, you have a choice. Keep the spyware, and the programs that use it -- or have a computer that runs fast, doesn't crash, and doesn't produce crazy errors like this.
It's your choice. ;) But if you choose to keep the spyware, then don't blame your problems on other people's campaigns.
-
Retail campaigns run in FSO too. But because FSO is experimental and uses more graphics-intensive stuff, it's more likely to be affected by spyware.
-
In my opinion keeping spyware/malware on your comp is like keeping an armed nuke in your back yard. Kill that **** man....before it kills you!
-
It was written for retail. It's worked fine on my computer and every other person's computer that can run FS2.
Get rid of your spyware. :p
-
The censor on these forums sucks.
-
what the **** got censored?
-
I was gonna write something but the forum censored me so then I decided it wasn't worth it.
-
Get a free download accelerator instead.
-
Also - get rid of the download accelerator of any kind too.
-
Get Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/).
-
You're welcome. :) Tell others about Firefox, too. It's much safer than IE.
-
Firefox's resume doesn't work for me for some reason by the way.
-
Please finish BWO before I die.
-
We're working on it. Unfortunately, us university students don't make ideal testers since we actually have to do school work for a change! :nervous:
I mean, when I was in high school finding time to game was not a problem. ;7
-
Tell me about it, I'm a teaching assistant at a uni.
-
Ack! A TA! Even worse! :shaking:

Who said anything about finishing BWO? Didn't I tell you people that the project is dead? Nobody listens nowadays.
-
Right. Pull the other one. It plays "Jingle Bells".

Actually we were waiting for you to die before we released it.
Part of THE PLAN(tm).
-
forget firefox :jaw: :jaw: :jaw: :jaw:
NEVER!!!!!
Firfox is superior to IE in every aspect....Why use anything else?
-
High Max, Firefox is spyware free...

Ok...get the presses rolling.
*sigh* It will be nice to finish BWO.

Opera is better :p
-
Then just add the MSN engine. You know that you can do that, right?
-
Um... you can import favorites into Firefox, just so you know. ;)
-
Yup. ;) Read the readme for an explanation on that. :)
