Hmm, I know there's fans of Optimus Prime and his friends here, so some bits of news:
The live movie will not be made by Steven Spielberg, but he's gonnabe executive producer.
Dreamworks dreamworks will have Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto ( anybody knows them? ) top produce the movie, scheduled for summer 2006.

Pah, we french are way ahead in that matter :p :

Why are European commericals always so much cooler? Its not fair.

as for Transformers, well, we'll see. As long as they stay true to the license, it could turn out really good. This has the potential to impress or to disappoint, so we just have to wait for it to come out.

Cos they don't have to pander to dumbass hicks :p. Seems like everything is dumbed down for the Merkins...

And yes, this could be very cool. :nod: OTOH, it could suck so hard your eyes pop out of your head...

Thats because for whatever reason...Europeans seem to either "get" the intelligence behind the commercial, respect the commercial on technical or artistic grounds, or just ignore it and not make a fuss.  In North America...you've got the cultural/educated elite which are disallusioned with TV anyways so the marketing people don't care what we think and they cater to the lowest common denominator (for the target audience anyways) which wouldn't appreciate technical or artistic mastery anyways so why bother spending the money...

Do I sound pessimistic or what...
