*waits for 1200GMT*

Predictably, our lot ****ed it up. I tried, but it's hard to hold a silence when people are yelling "oi, why are you day dreaming when we've got work to do"... :blah:

I was taking a dump and missed the entire thing. I guess I didn't shout and pant too much, so I kinda did it. :)
-
Janos... I wish there was a hell, just for people like you. :blah: :p
1200GMT was, what? 7:00am EST? Sorry, then, I slept through it.
-
It was decided that our school would be incapable of holding a three-minute silence for, well, three minutes, so we condensed it down to one.
Not even that, actually, since I suspect it was more of a forty-seconds of silence. Tsk.
-
I'm not sure about this at all. Three minutes is too long - we only have two minutes for sixty million war dead... A silence, fine, but a minute. That's the standard length, and that's what I stuck to.
-
I don't think it's the length of time that matters really. It's the fact that you're supposed to be remembering the event and taking a minute out of your own selfish life to remember what others have been through (unless of course, you've been through it yourself).
(Note: no insult intended to anyone here, no particular distinction made against anyone either. Just the point in general).
-
when did this happen? i missed it methinks. meh... TBH, ive never heard a 'moment of silence'. at my old school there literally never was any silence that i remember. same with at home...
-
I took the three minutes to reflect on the fact that the three female tsunami survivors ITV kept showing were hot.
-
I forgot. I was on a bus travelling alone so i probably didn't do/say anything.
