I ran across this when I was cleaning out some of the junk I've accumulated in the TAP folder.
Most of you probably don't remember, but it was long before the SCP came around anyway. Me fantasizing about what the game could be like.
GG guys, you completely blew my fantasy out of the water (well, except for the motion blur :p)

Well, we still lack bump mapping, and we can't really carve a Raksasha in half, but those would both kick ass, if we could.
And I like those particles better than the ones we have now. (Except for the HDRish PSS that I tested, those rawked)

Im see the Perseus casting a shadow too.

There are some old fs2_open builds floating around with shadows in 'em, do a search for "stencil shadows". The third test build, IIRC, has shadows cast on both the ship casting them, and other ships.
Bobb's busy on other stuff though.
