actually, it probably has too many polys.

tried it with the GTI Bretonia in retail FRED and it crashed. i have an idea for a name: (oh crap, it just slipped my mind; gimme a minute) GTHFr Calypso?

Well, since the game tends to use Ocean Gods when naming freighters (Poseidon, Triton etc) how about :-

GTFr Kraken
GTFr Neptune
GTFr Eldir (Servant of the Norse Sea God)

*ahem* actually, Kraken was a sea monster, not a sea god. If I remember right, kraken was a sea monster summoned by poseidon. i forgot what kraken was supposed to do...

It's only 688.

I think I got almost everything glued properly it only has 5 turrets, so I think I have them right.  If somebody could convert it to pof format without it crashing it would be much apprieciated.  That and I can see what I figured out what was wrong.

Calypso has definately been used as the name for a Triton (I believe - some freighter/transport anyways) in FS2 retail.

Agreed, I remember having seen the "Calypso" somewhere. Just can't tell where.

As for the "Tethys" - pity, I liked that one. ;)

BTW, I've seen that "Oceanus" has already been used for a destroyer. So the Okeanos, which I didn't consider a good name in the first place, is ruled out. As far as I can see, the others are still open, though "Amphitrite" is too similar to "Triton", I guess.

Yeah, yeah, the Calypso is a Triton freighter in FS, but it is also the name of a user-made model. Probably a fighter or a corvette.
