Title: How do I get FS2 multiplayer to work?
Post by: IcyScythe on January 10, 2005, 12:14:10 pm
Right so I just got the 3rd and last ISO file and installed succesfully (yay!) and I try to go to multiplayer and it just says "checking freespace version" forever...  I had the same problem with FS1...

What do I need to do?

Parralax online is gone. you can only play Direct IP games with Retail fs2.

For multiplayer register here: http://www.burbworld.com/fs2netd/

Then download either the latest version of Fs2 Open (available in the Source code section of this forum),

or Tom's Old Engine build (which is best for multiplayer)

you can find installation instructions and a LOT of information almost everywhere at this forum (and there's probaly a Readme included with most zips), so I won't bother with them.

Hope to see you online!
