Title: Today's excitement
Post by: Shrike on January 11, 2005, 11:42:43 am
I was woken up at nine thirty by the cops using a megaphone to call out the guy at one of the houses on the opposite side of the road.  Seems it was a grow-op and the guy who lived there got arrested and carted off in the car.  Fun times.

A grow-op? Wassat?

And that's not bad at all. Round here, the cops break in at 4.30 in the morning with sub machine guns...

House used for nothing except growing marijuana.

Over here, cops were complaining about the dangers of cleaning up grow-ops.

Back trouble was one of the most mentioned concerns. IIRC.

Are you sure this was the house across the street and not, for example, your house?

If not, why not?

Oddly enough, that happened to house across the road from me a year or so ago; police knocked on the door, escorted the guy out the house and took away a van full of the waccy-baccy.

Well at my work yesterday, someone tried to steal $2,400 in safe drops when the manager left it up at the register in a bag. One of the employees threw the small bag of money into a bag of trash and handed it to her boyfriend. We recovered all but $500 from a trash can at an exxon station. The employee also failed a polygraph test. Her future is toast.

Marijuana is so passe.  'Round here all the drug busts are crystal meth and I mean all of them.  There's one every 2-3 days.

No.  Of course I'm not sure that it wasn't my house, since I have issues distiguishing between things.  For example at the moment I'm having trouble figuring out if you're retarded or just suck at being funny.

Well, not 10 minutes ago I just saw a meteorite the size of a frikkin house fly through the sky!!! Never seen anything like it. And it wasn't a plane since planes fly over my house every 15 mins, and it wasn't a fighter either cause this thing was going at insane velocities. We even got interference on our tv's when it flew past. Insane.

I was watching tv when it happened. It flew across the sky and I saw it out my window. It took me a minute afterwards to bloody register what I saw. :D And it looks like planes are flying around some area now in the direction it went. Though the airport is over there as well. Still...

The previous owner of the house I'm living in now used to grow marijuana for a living. In the basement, there's a brick wall that's broken up into sections, only one section isn't a wall...
