I'm not a particularly big fan of the band (this song is ok, though), but the video for this is **** hot.
However, what is interesting is that the company involved (http://www.arkvfx.net/Visuals_1.htm) is the same one - or has the same staff - as the one responsible for the I:War2 cutscenes.
Which might be (er) interesting :)

Looks like they also did work for Warhammer studios as well (a bit further in there's some shots of Eldar Flyers and Grav Tanks).
Very impressive I must say. I'll see if I can get hold of a copy of Sing for Absolution now.

Is it just me, or are the 'monsters' in that video the ones from Final Fantasy?

What video?

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I was thinking of Linkin Park's re-thingy of Points of Authority. But, that wrong-ness of the video not withstanding, the question stands.
This is what I get for only sleeping 4 hours.
And in regards to the Muse video: What the **** are those explosion thingies at the beginning? Y'know, the things that shoot outta the city and slam into the walls.

all I can think of that's even remotely like an explosion is the exhaust from the rocket shooting out the 4 sides of the launchpad.

Right, right, right at the beginning, as it pans in from the left towards the city, there's some little things that shoot outta the sides of the city and smash into the cliff-face.
-
Hmm... I think that's missing from the copy I... obtained. It's suppossed to be a planet about to suffer from an ice age, though; dunno if that means anything.
-
an0ns on the money with this one - it looks like they're firing rockets from the city into the ice walls.
Perhaps an attempt to hold back the ice as it heads towards the city? That'd tie in with the rest of the "evacuation from the doomed planet" theme.
Other references to IW are the quite obvious analogies between docking ships (the whole maneuver in which the capsule docks with the cryo-pod is very much like the same events in IW2). The "warp" effect is quite a lot like LDS as used in IW2. Several of the computer monitors and other effects also look like a nod in that direction.
I liked the fact that - on showing up in a desolate planet - they find the ruins of London.
All this said - the style was a hell of a lot like FF:Spirits Within, and the animation house that does Linkin Parks videos (I assume the same people do all of the ones with special effects in them).
