Never heard of Portal Runner, btw, but I don't think I ever played a good game by 3DO....

Uprising and Uprising 2 were okay, but were disjointed in their storytelling.  You could tell that the devs wanted to have more scripted events to tell a story, but that the management or whoever stopped them.
