Come to think of it, the names and the music all tend to blur into one great dirge anyway, so I can't actually name even one of their songs.

True but compare that to Take That or the Spice Girls who've all gone on to release solo songs.

Even if only one of them continues to release songs things haven't gotten any better.

Yeah, but that's a very small number anyways; thankfully, popular music is littered with the carcasses of no-talent-all-marketing 'artists'....even if we're only getting a 75% attrition rate, it's a start.
