Having problem with the FS2 campaign on the mission, where it is the first time you see the colossus ("Sixth Wonder"). Problem is it fires off a few shots at the harwood and then... stops.
Enif station does not take any more damage and by yourself you can take harwood down to 1% but it never gets destroyed, thus preventing the mission from being completed.
Using fsopen 3.6.5 with these parameters -spec -glow -pcx32 -jpgtga -d3dmipmap -nomotiondebris -2d_poof -dualscanlines -ship_choice_3d -targetinfo -orbradar -3dwarp -tbpwarpeffects -ballistic_gauge -snd_preload -decals -fps

Did you notice all your wingmen getting slaughtered by the deimos and tell them to ignore it by any chance?
There is a bug in FS2 Retail which still remains to this day, where if you tell a fighter to ignore a ship the order propogates up to capships on your side.
Try the mission again and this time let your wingmen get slaughtered :)
-
Yep, had this once aswell and I did exactly the same thing as kajorama said above, so I replayed it and just let the wingmen get on with it. The Colossus jumps and owns the Harwood as normal then. :)
-
Ok, that fixed it... let the games continue :)
-
If you don't want your wingman to be slaughtered, use "form on my wing" command and assaign targets to them if needed.

You mean Hawkwood right?

i've had the same bug. i waited for a long time, then said the heck with it and restarted the mission. it worked fine the second time. not sure why this is.

Yes, I realized this after I typed harwood twice, I thought no one was going to notice :P

If any of you guys were real FS fans, you would disarm the Hawkwood and then let C. nail it. :p
-
awww, but it's got so much anti-fightery stuff on it.

"oh no the big bad flak is gona get me! what ever shall I do!?!"

Really? I tend to kill it off before the big C arrives. :p

How? That early in the FS2 campaign you shouldn't have any weapons that can damage a capship once it gets below 10% hull.
-
The Colossus is a 9km long bug imho ;)

I tape a picture of derek smart to the exterior of my cocpit. Pointing outwards of course. That usually attracts the fire from every other vessel in the area. and I direct it directly towards the deimos. :p

If we were real FS fans, we would do our job and concentrate on the fighters.

Just load yourself out with a bank of Stilettos. Use them to knock out the beam and missile turrets of the Cato, then the forward beams of the Hawkwood. If you have time to relarm, go for the AAA and flank cap-beams. I'd load the other bank out with Tempests, Harpoons, or Hornets.
