So I've been a bit absent over the past month - thought I'd give you a picture of what I've been up to during that time. ;)
^^ Xbox system-link partied with buddies at a mate's house.
^^ Watched my sister graduate as a dentist in the University of Sydney.
^^ Marvelled at the water features of a mosque in Brunei (on transit to Malaysia).
^^ Sweated in Kuala Lumpur (the Malaysian capital).

^^ Spotted wierd shop names on the Kowloon Peninsula (Hong Kong).
^^ Been pushed around the streets of Shenzhen (southern China).

^^ Become so homesick, started to see Australia everywhere we looked.
Man, it was a blast. Any questions? :)
-
Right on.
:yes2:
I love the last one. Awesome photography on the butterfly as well.
-
Cool stuff. Congrats to your sister.
-
That's awsome.
Very good summary, unlike a friend of mine who went on holiday and then upon return his only comment when I asked him "How was it?" was "Yeah good.".
Go the crystal Xbox, where's the copies of Halo2 sitting ontop of them? :D
-
Thanks, Rictor. It was really funny with that piece of bread actually, for a moment I felt like one of those people who finds the Virgin Mary in cheese sandwiches and stuff. ;)
Thanks Styxx, I'll pass on the congrats. "Hey, Kylie? A Brazilian thinks that you've done good." *stunned silence*
And cheers, Grug. Actually, what was the most difficult was picking what not to show you guys... over the three and a half weeks, I took about 3000 photos. :nervous: Also, sorry, I was so busy arranging all those controllers that I forgot. :D
-
Some of those photos are really good, I really like that fountain shot :)
oh and congrats to your sister
-
Cool :)
Though i didn't need to see the sweeat picture :p

Genting isn't really a part of KL, but what does it matter in the scheme of things eh?
-
Cheers HIG, that's one of my favourites too. I think I learnt a lot about photography on this trip, in fact - I guess taking a hundred plus photos each day will do that to you. :)
Sorry Tiara. Just telling it like it is. :p
Thanks for the correction RK, that was a slip of my copy and paste. Adjusted accordingly. Speaking of which, Genting was really nice - it's great how just an hour away from the capital, you're pretty much in the middle of the forest. The weather is great there, too.
-
Mmm, bit too cold and damp for me myself. All me buddies seem to really love the place for some reason. Where else did you go, I'm curious?
-
Sure, I might as well put up a more detailed version of where I actually went. It was basically like this:
- 24-25 Dec: In transit, from Australia to Brunei to Malaysia
- 26-29 Dec: In and around Kuala Lumpur
- 30-31 Dec: Touring in Hong Kong
- 31 Dec-1 Jan: Touring in Shenzhen
- 2-3 Jan: In transit, back through Hong Kong into Malaysia
- 4 Jan: Rest in Kuala Lumpur
- 5-6 Jan: Genting Highlands trip
- 7-13 Jan: In Kuala Lumpur but also driving to Klang every couple of days
- 14 Jan: Day trip into Melaka
- 15 Jan: Goodbyes in Kuala Lumpur
- 16-17 Jan: In transit, Malaysia to Brunei to Australia
So for what I thought was just going to be a trip to KL, it actually gave us a lot of opportunities for travel. Actually, in those three weeks, I think I literally travelled more than I had in the rest of my life. We almost went to Singapore for a couple of days, too. :)
-
Wow. Looks like you had a great time.

What they've all said only in more eloquent terms..
Well you know what eloquence sounds like :p :)

Not around here. I dunno wha Sydney's like, but a dentist doesn't make much more than your average GP over here (Which is still not vast amounts).

Are you getting fat?
