Title: Question
Post by: Gai Daigoji on January 18, 2005, 02:17:25 pm
The Sol system, it has no nebula(s) right? So does anyone have any problems with just staring at stars and not having any at all?
Just wondering since a few missions in Solar Wars takes place in the Sol system and I am not sure if I should tempt fate and leave them out or put them in.

No prob for me. Maybe a few subtle, dark blue nebulas, but not more except planets.

Depends. They were there in the final FS1 cutscene...

Yes, there are some faint dark blue nebulae in the FS1 end scene.

If you're willing to forgo blurring stars, you can get an awful lot of mileage out of high quality skyboxes as well, even without nebulae.

....how about adding the Milky Way as a nebula - or as BW suggested go skybox, though that's more work.

MindGames sticks to reality and will not use any nebulae. I thought it would be something you would not like, but it looks like I was mistaken.
