Title: unable to use mods
Post by: Darkstar on January 19, 2005, 02:14:54 pm
I am unable to create/use a mod directory

I am using launcher 5.2 and version 3.6.5 of the source code.

I create a new directory in my main fs2 folder and in the launcher press select mod and select the directory. Then I always get the error "mod directory name can't contain space" The name of the directory is just one word so it doesn't contain space or something else is meant by this but I am lost?

Mhmm, just a guess, but maybe you named your FS directory like "Freespace 2"? Mark the space.

Is the -mod command the last thing on your command line? I know that it can cause errors if it isn't

I had that error too. Really pissed me off.

You should be able to get things working by specifying 'no mod' in the launcher, then making a shortcut with the '-mod' parameter.

Or, you could go to Start->Run, select the FS2 exe, and add the -mod field there. (You'd still need to remove the -mod parameter in the launcher)
