Title: Monitor problem..

Question, should a corner of a screen be slightly jittery, and out of focus?... and should said corner, be actually warm to touch, where the rest of the screen is cool?..... (and, somebody else claimed they smelt burning rubber at one stage)

mine seems to be... a samsung Syncmaster 955DF pureflat CRT....

I would guess thats not a good sign. Has it been accidentally dropped or bumped lately?
I have a SyncMaster 712n and its worked fine so far but then again I have only had it like 2 months.

never been dropped or bumped, has hardly ever been moved from my desk..
(it's a 19" monitor!.. drop onna those it'd be time for a new screen :eek2: )

i've had mine for... ooh,  nearly 2 years now.

Samsung of Germany offers a 3-yeah-warranty for the Syncmaster CRTs. May be different for your place, but it's worth a try.
