Who do you think is gonna be wearing some new rings come next week?
I'm a Patriots man - mainly because in the few games of AF I've watched they've proven themselves very adaptive.
Opinions?
-
Eagles are gonna ****in' trounce 'em.
-
Once again, the important option has been omitted. I have no use for sports, but if you threw enough cheerleaders at me I might watch.
-
The Superbowl and the World Cup are the quintessential sporting events.
You miss them, you're a ****ing retard.
-
I'm cheering for the Patriots, due to the fact I'm biased in favor of the AFC, and too piss off everyone in the area (many cheer for the Eagles, since McNabb went to college nearby).
-

Except sports are the second most boring thing in the world, the first being Supermarket Sweep.
-
The World Cup, sure. As for this... change the channel, let me watch the cricket. :D
-
Cricket? Dear oh dear Steak... I used to respect you maaaaan! :p :D
-
Philly doesn't stand a chance. New England by 10.
-
Go Eagles. I dont really care as much this year because the teams arent as familiar (no southern teams) so I will cheer for the Eagles because they are the so called underdogs.
-
Pats.

i hate the patriots....
...but you cant bet against them
a)they held the #1 offense(colts) to 3 points
b) they put up 41 points on the #1 defense(steelers)

American football is...terribly boring. Play never seems to last more than 10 seconds or so.
-
Play for 10 seconds, ***** about said play for two minutes, escort gravely injured player off field for one minute, repeat for four hours.
-
Indifference is winning in the poll...
BTW: Is this another "World Championship" where only America is invited to play?
-
The teams may be based in American cities but there are international players, and its not our fault that the rest of the world can't appreciate one of the two best sports ever created, the other being rugby.

Where in "The Super Bowl" do you see World Championship?
-
Who added that queer option? :wtf:
-
I´m cheering for the referee team.
-
Couldn't care less. I hate rugby, and American football even more, if only because they still manage to horribly damage themselves even with all that pansy armour on.... :p
Bleh. Give me some Aussie Rules Football any day. Now there's a sport for the truly insane!
-
pyro-maniac, wouldn't the fact that they get so hurt with protective equipment on suggest that they're hitting a lot harder than in rugby? And for those of you too dense to appreciate the joys of a good football game, I pity you.
E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles! :D

Too dense to enjoy a sport where grown men form lines to run into each other as fast as possible?
Yep... sounds right... :doubt:
At least AFL has a degree of actual athleticism to it... and use of the foot for more than running.

No, it suggests to me that they're too thick to dodge. Or that running head-first into someone isn't terribly good for your spine. It's all sheer brute force. No thought, no finesse.
-
There are no vehicles involved so my interest is minimal at best...

C'mon dude, cricket rocks. And it's summer right now - how better to spend your afternoon than out in the beautiful Australian sun, enjoying the clear day? ;)

Depends on the team and the players. You can get some pretty interesting plays done on offense using your passing game, and some running backs are pretty good at finding the holes and making yardage out of nothing.

Nothing beats live chess, if only it was televised :doubt:

How can anyone stand the god damn Patriots. They just make me sick, so of course I'm cheering for the Eagles. Hell of a party I'm having too.
Oh yeah and Black Wolf, I already told you, American Football takes a hell of a lot of endurance, almost nearly as much as soccer.
-
I probably does, but endurance doesn;t directly translate to true athleticism.
-
there is really no way to measure "athleticism" though
