Anyone seen it or watching it? I just recently started watching it and bloody hell is it good. Still totally in the dark to what is really going on, but it really allows you to theorize a bit.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, LOST pritty much tells of a passenger airplane crashing on a pacific island and the 48 survivors trying to, well uuh survive. But what makes the series so good is that it goes into depth with each character. So you know their backstory. And everyone has their own little secrets. It even star Dominic Monohogan or however you spell it. Merry from LOTR. Really good tv series and drama. Oh yeah. And theres a frickin huge demonic monster thingy in the jungle as well, that no one has seen, but occasionally hear its roar and see half the jungle collapse when it tramples through it. Also there seems to be a small population of polar bears on the tropical island as well. :D Its really good. Kinda makes me think of Lynch, as well as other stuff. Its a good brain teasing series. I'm just waiting for the pirates and ninjas to show up.

Sounds.... odd. What/when is it on?
-
Its on ABC on wednesday. But there are "other" means to watch it.
-
As a cool point, Mira Furlan joined the cast this week.
I want to like this show a whole bunch, but I missed the first half of the season and I don't know what the hell is going on...

Ah. ABC isn't easy to get in the UK. I'll investigate...

How does one "Join" the cast of a survival island? "Lost" means no one knows where you are....
"Uh-oh it's Delenn , are we gonna get screwed by Jack the Ripper now?"
"In the lonely darkness remember this, you ARE the right people on the RIGHT island AT the right time, now prepare to be monster chow! Toodles!" - "Thanks Jack that helps!"

Sounds good, but, uh, going into depth with 48 characters sounds a bit much. :p
If I see it on I'll be sure to watch it though.

My girl friends freakin' love the show. They started watching it because of Dom but now they just watch it cuz it's good. I've seen bits and pieces and it looks decent.

Whenever I've tried to watch an episode, I've always ended up dumbfounded either by how completely ridiculous the events were, or how ungodly stupid the characters were.
It honestly reminded me a lot of Blair Witch Project. A lot of things which were supposed to be scary, but ultimately were far too surreal to have any fear factor to them, coupled with a bunch of retards who were even more clueless about wilderness survival then the casts of every season of survivor combined. Most of the reviews I've seen seem to be guilty of speculative reviewing too - rating things based on the expectation that all the absurdness will eventually turn out to make a lot of sense instead of the fact that it is so far simply unexplained absurdness.

I never got a blair witch vibe. And you don't get into detail with all 48 characters. :D Just the main ones, which are 10 or something. Its a good show. Much better than any of the reality crap thats out there.

It's going to air soon over here, if you think it's alright, I'll keep an eye out for it. :)
-
Indeed, me too... :)

lol.
Ahh good ol' Penny Arcade...
Turnsky should do a similar thing along side his comic storylines... (HiNT HiNT!) :p
-
They are gonna view it here in sweden from februari 1:st, so i hope its worth watching.
-
Heh. I always catch the last five minutes of it, and from what I see, it's pretty good. Since Alias is right after it (hint: Jennifer Garner ;) ), I usually don't watch it unless I turn on ABC early.
-
Heh. Penny Arcade hit it pritty good on the nail. In a good way. :D
-
sounds kinda like Lord of the Flies...but with adults...

Yeah, I got that vibe a bit. And the passangers are seeming to break into two distinct groups. One in the caves and one on the beach. Hmm, I should look into it more.
