Title: The "What Campaign Would You Like to See Ressurected (or finished)" Thread
Post by: InfernoGod on February 01, 2005, 06:10:52 pm: I was bored, and this topic just popped into my mind: What campaigns that have died in the past years would you like to see ressurected or finished? I thought it would make an interesting conversation. So, talk away!

Post by: Rand al Thor on February 01, 2005, 10:15:59 pm: I was always interested in Reciprocity. Seemed like it had a really good back story worked out, and that is, afterall, what made freespace so good. I know Casualties of War was released but its never worked on FSO for me so I aint gotten around to playing it.

The Procyon Insurgency seemed interesting too. Taking a more indepth look at the universe, again seemed to be plot based.

And lastly. Whatever happened to Combat Federation? I thought I remembered hearing something about it being (nearly) finished. It just had to wait for another project to be released first because it used the same mods? Anyone?

It was a bit more than i could chew as a fledgling modder. although i would still love to create that, and in fact i think i can now, without wasting time. But before it gets done, i need to do Origins and Mercenaries.

But thanks for remembering the CF.

I'd have to agree. I kind of missed most of the goings-on to do with OTT. The fleets Venom made for it were fantastic, though, so it would've at least looked good. ;)

Reci looked brilliant, and reading some of the internal stuff after it closed down was miserable, 'cos I won't get to play it now. No Nightmares to get slaughtered by.... :(

Also some of the older ones off VW - The Babel Effect, Third Twilight etc. looked brilliant. People like Agatheron, Kellan etc. who worked on things like Derelict....

I only took notice into that campaign shortly after I joined, and became quite interested. Too bad the USS Reciprocity had to sink...:( Let's start a petition to re-start it! lol I wish. I can't wait for MT and Inferno to get finished. Both look really interesting. BlackWater too.

'Tis a joke. Aldo dumped Reciprocity because it was becoming too overwhelming, and, quite frankly, if Reci's gonna come back, it's gonna have to be do by aldo (just like :V: will have to do that one thing :p )

Post by: ShadowWolf_IH on February 11, 2005, 11:06:38 pm: Combat Federation was going to tell the Btech story, i think i have a way to actually do a form of battlemech. right now they serve well as ground targets, and they can fire back, move, and stay on the ground. as far as pilotting one goes....no torso twisting yet.....the mod was started in september in 02 and i still have all of the materials on it. been backburnered for a long time, and will be until after i finish MT, Mercs and Origins. Maybe after that though.

anyway, if there is real interest i may resurrect the project.

[EDIT] nevermind. i just realized that it's a pof and i wouldn't be able to uyse it, plus it has so torso twisting, etc
