Title: Computer Died
Post by: Thrilla on February 03, 2005, 11:02:11 am: My Computer died. :( RIP old computer. Now I have to use the old one. :( Oh well. I'll see what I can dig up towards getting a new one. :)

Are you're parents saavy enough to know whether you're telling the whole truth about the situation with your computer? It's how I got my new XP 1800+ system.

Post by: pyro-manic on February 04, 2005, 12:09:28 pm: No, I mean you (from what you posted) smashed up a computer that may have had nothing wrong with it other than a loose RAM stick, or a corrupted boot partition, or something equally trivial that wouldn't need much to fix. So buying a new computer would be unnecessary. Or even if you wanted a new one, you could sell the old one and get some cash for it once it's fixed, or donate it to somebody, or even keep it as a backup machine...
