Title: Where do the Multiplayer people hang out?

I'm in the process of updating the FAQ and I got round to the bit where I link to HLP, SG and GW's board when the thought struck me that I ought to give a direct link to the multiplayer boards.

Thing is that I don't play multiplayer so I have no idea where they hang out. Do you guys have an equivalent to HLP where you all hang out or do you pretty much stick to your clans?


While I'm asking if there's anything (within reason) that you felt was missing in the FAQ speak up now :)

You should take a look at http://www.teamwars.com/

The last actual "Teamwars" round was stopped, but it still serves as a general meeting point multi ppl now (or at least it should).

The front page has a links section from where you can find most of the active FS2 groups (if we can say such exist at all now..)

If I'd searched I'm sure I would have found links to multiplayer sites but I don't want to send newbies off the multiplayer equivalent of the VWBB and saying that it's the main Multiplayer site :)

Thanks for the links guys. I know that a lot of people who download the HotU version tend to find my FAQ very quickly so it's nice to be able to send them to a proper multiplayer site rather than having them conclude that FS2 multi is dead cause PXO is down.

Lightspeed is usually in that channel, but we can always point them to instructions on how to get their crap up-to-date and get with the times (as we've been doing all along really).

It's mainly a Polish site, but they have an English corner there. Also, the 303rd Polish squad is hosted there.

i'm also thinking of starting my own squad, the 55th Marauders. i need to ask krackers87 if i can start it there...

Cobra.. I think I speak for the whole multiplayer community creating a new squad isn't really a good idea now,
because There's as good as 0 activity, and most player are vets that already are in a squad or don't want to be in one...  simply not enough players for a new squad. So, unless you know a can of fresh pilots, you better join and already existing squad...

well, i am trying to hook up with the 303rd, but no one has told me if i'm in yet. i don't think i am. that's why i wanted to start my own squad... but, your idea's good to :D

besides, wolfdog, if you play in the mornings on the West Coast (which would probably be noon or 3:00 pm in other places) you'll find a bunch of games going.

MP just added a Multi-player board to GW. So, I guess you can add GW as a multi-player Hang out. I think we have around 4 who play and a few who are about to start.

i better tell them to watch out for a guy called Hubertus. HE IS UNTOUCHABLE. it was only by a sheer fluke that i took him down even ONCE.

I have flown 4 missions and gotten 48 kills.

No he isn't...just you aren't good pilot :p

BTW If anyone wants to play play multiplayer just cheek FSDnet at 20:00 GMT+1  to 23:00 GMT+1. We ( 303th ) play most in weekends but sometimes you goan find us in common day.
We play with using OEBuild and  in TBP Multiplayer.

i was with other skilled pilots. even they couldn't touch him. and the humiliating part was: he was using a keyboard.

I've only played 8 missions....yet I've got 137 kills and 26 assists according to the stats.........O_O

I need to play multi more often...

Well, the combination of a good pilot and hosting often means unbalanced match... 'specially if that player is flying Ery or Herc II with MS...

finally singleplayers find the way to multi :)
it's much more fun to play together with/against human pilots than playing single missions!
