I jsut formatted my drive and re-installed FS2, put my maps, models and effects in their folders, and the SCP files (Launcher 5, fs2_open_r, FRED2_open_r), mv_core, mv_effects, mv_loplanets, mv aseffects...
When I start the launcher it complains that it cannot read flags - and indeed there is a flag.cfg (or something like that) missing - I clearly remember a file like that befoer I formatted.
The SCP won't start wihtout it...
What should I do now?

Err. Is it a recent FSO build? Some didn't support that, in the older builds, IIRC.

Install devil.dll and the other two .dll files that came with 3.6.5 but didn't come with the latest build you downloaded and installed :)

That's just the files I was missing! When I jsut try to start FS2_Open_r it sez I'm missing that DevIl.dll.. prolyl the other one too.
But I don't recall ever seing them in any of the zips of recent builds.... I have several builds on my HDD, but I couldn't find those files.
Where the heck can I get them?

I don't know, you might do as kara suggested and try the zip containing FSO 3.6.5. Since you refuse to actually look for it, I'll be generous and give you the link to the thread 3 spots above this one:

Hm...Launcer starts fine now, but both FRED and FS2 chrash...hm...II'll try another build..

It appears my weapon.tbl is responsible for the chrashes..I'll have to make a new one....

My newest build doesn't require the DevIL dlls anymore. No future builds will either as the code is compiled directly into the binary now.
