Title: My first heavy lame attempt to model in truespace
Post by: mr.WHO on February 08, 2005, 11:13:28 am
Before you say that it's a 2 cube with 6 cilinders I want to say that I have no experience in 3d modeling (I only spend few hours with milkshape) and I done this in 30 min. after finishing the instalation. Other thing is that I'm self learning person and I hate any kind of tutorials.

Main ship body with new bridge:

What I'm planning to do:

Ehrm, apart from the model, you may want to cut those screenshots to a more reasonable size.

It's hard to figure out anything from the first picture. The engine looks good for a start.

Looks ok. If that drawing of what you wanted to do is a 3/4 view, then go for it. If it's a side view, make it a 3/4 view :D

If you want tutorials have a look at Moonman's site (http://www.lunadude.com/rsrc_trueSpace.htm). Actually you should probably take a look there for truespace extensions anyway

Now I'll focus at ship engine section so it'll look less cubic.

After another 25 min, I was able to create 3 types of engines but I don't know which I should pick:

I should post my first models. That'd be amusing for five minutes.
