...as seen here.

Does anyone have any idea where i could get these, as i've d/led pretty much everything else, except these. its only a small change, but it does look lush.

i've already installed the lightmaps and glowmaps, and its not in there, unless i've put them in the wrong directory....not that the readme specifies.

any ideas?

They're not red, that's the enviroment mapping reflecting off the cockpits.

ahh poo.

how did he manage to get env. mapping to work?
all i ever get is horribly glossy models that look as though theyre made of glass.
I gathered that env. mapping wouldnt work until the alpha channels had been sorted for the models. have these been done then?

One of the main reasons for Lightspeed's texture upgrades was to add alpha env maps to everything.

excellent. just been playing Love The Treason...  and it looks SLICK.

out of curiosity, does the ambient light level/in-game brightness setting have any baring on the level of reflection on the models?

Welcome to HLP, Alpha_Monkey. :)

:welcome:

Ambient lighting will reduce the amount of reflection you can see. Reflections are most visible when there is zero ambient lighting, but it gets rather hard to fly if your ships aren't glowmapped. ;)
