Team America: World Police

We're dicks! We're reckless, arrogant, stupid dicks. And the Film Actors Guild are pussies. And Kim Jong Il is an asshole. Pussies don't like dicks because pussies get ****ed by dicks. But dicks also **** assholes. Assholes that just want to **** on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with assholes their way. But the only thing that can **** a asshole is a dick, with some balls. The problem with dicks is they **** too much or **** when it isn't appropriate. And it takes a pussy to show them that. But sometimes pussies can be so full of **** that they become assholes themselves. Because pussies are a inch and half away from assholes. I don't know much about this crazy crazy world, but I do know this. If you don't let us **** this asshole we're going to have our dicks and pussies all covered in ****.

Austin Powers 2

Mini-Me, stop humping the laser. God, why don't you and the great big laser get a frickin' room.

Clue

Mrs. White: He had always threatened to kill me in public.
Ms. Scarlett: Why would he want to kill you in public?
Wadsworth: I think she meant, he threatened in public to kill her.
Ms. Scarlett: Oh.

Zoolander

[Unveiling a building model]
Mugatu: I give you, "The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good."
[Derek looks at the model for a moment, then throws it on the floor]
Derek Zoolander: What is this? A center for ants? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can't even fit inside the building?

Guest House Paradiso wasn't a patch on the TV series that spawned it "Bottom" you should look at getting some of those on DVD if you found it funny.

Personally I'm gonna go with The Big Lebowski ("I am the Jesus") and though technically not a funny film, I found Titanic to be hillarious.

The first two Pink Panther movies.  The third was okay, but things declined rapidly from there.

 I love Clue but sometimes I think I'm the only person who ever saw it :D I just love the way their attitude to murder changes as the film goes on. :D

Professor Plum: Is there going to be a cover up?
Wadsworth: Isn't that in the public interest? What could be gained by exposure?
Professor Plum: But is the FBI in the habit of cleaning up after multiple murders?
Wadsworth: Yes. Why do you think it's run by a man called Hoover?

You what? The Pink Panther Strikes Again the fourth PP movie (with Sellers in it at least) is probably the funniest of the lot. Maybe it's just the whole Dreyfus going mad and trying to take over the world thing that appeals to me but I loved everything about that movie.

Especially the scene where all the worlds assassins attempt to assassinate Clouseau.

The Pink Pather itself on the other hand I found a little weak. Sellers is hardly in it as the movie concentrates on David Niven's character.

Err... Dr. Strangelove (we're talking about the Kubrik one, right?) is not supposed to be a "funny" movie...
Or better, it falls in the same "funny" cathegory as fahrenheit 911
Title: Favorite Funny Movies?
Post by: Ford Prefect on February 14, 2005, 02:38:22 pm
That "funny" category is still funny. The most potent humor is derived from things that are really not funny at all. We laugh so we don't cry or scream. Dr. Strangelove was most definitely intended to make us laugh.

Now, Fail Safe, which follows the same story as Dr. Strangelove, is not funny.

Dr Strangelove is 'black' humour in the old sense of the word - It's dying out now, I think Donnie Darko was a good attempt at revival, but most stuff like Dude where's my car? rely on a less intelligent crude slapstick which degrades the art of humour imho...:ick:

Woe to you, O Earth and sea, for the devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows that time is short...
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number...
It's number...
Is six hundred and sixty six....

Ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-da-bum-ba-ba-bum-ba-ba-bum-ba-ba...

:nervous: Sorry. Listening to that song again....

Anyway. Funny films. Hmmm...

Spinal Tap
Everything by the Cohen Brothers (speaking of which, they're making a film about The Jesus!! :D:eek::cool: )
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Monty Python's Life of Brian (He's not the Messiah! He's a very naughty boy! Now F**k off!)
Dogma
Evil Dead II (I find this film soooo funny....)
Some Like it Hot
Shaun of the Dead (almost as good as Spaced)

I dunno... I prefer series to films when it comes to comedy. Though that could just be because British TV comedy is so good....

Of course Shaun of the Dead - a must-have DVD!
