Ok. Using...

The build: t-20050103 (The most stable, BTW)
The command lines: -spec -glow -jpgtga -3dwarp -mpnoreturn -env -alpha_env -fps -window  -allslev -ambient_factor .75


Playing multi games with Kara and Matthewpapa, the following highly annoying bugs occur:



These are highly annoying, and the shield quadrant function makes gameplay extremely hard.

Agreed.

Also some fairly annoying bugs....(in additon to the above)

-Most of the time have to be using the same build as the other people in order to see their games in the lobby
-Sometimes if you die you are stuck in observer mode and cant respawn

You guys would be our heros if you could fix FSopen on multi....

Umm.. Observer mode isn't a bug, though. :p

Edit: Oh. it put kara in observer mode when his ping kept increasing, instead of respawning him.

Hmm.  Haven't noticed that one (shields) myself but I only really play multi against myself (2 computers) so it's not something I would be looking for.  I'll have a look since I'm going over recent multi bugs anyway.  I'll have a look at 'r' as well but if you notice anything else then update your list and I'll go through what I can.

Got that fixed just recently.  WMC's newest build should have the update so check that out if you want.  It's likely to have other networking issues but it should give you a chance to test the change at least.  If it's still not acceptable then let me know.

I've just reinstalled FS2 and every time I try to run Tom's Old Build and create a game I get a CTD.

I'm going to try that build of yours Taylor but there's no good reason the old build should fail. Star Dragon was reporting the same error to me earlier today actually.

Weird.. I just tried creating a game with toms build version 1.3.5, seemed to work ok.

Wow. I'm a f**king idiot! I'd forgotten to enter my username and password!

Of course this should be fixed as the game shouldn't CTD just cause of that (It also CTDs if you get your password wrong oddly enough. What an intolerant program! :p)

Well, I'll wait for you to make a new build, though. WMC's builds aren't very stable on my machine.

Your 20050103 build is the best I've ever used. :yes:

hmm. i tried my multi after reinstalling FS2, and when I clicked Ship Selection i CTD. i had this problem when i first started, and when i clicked it again it was fine. i have yet to try it again.
