Hmm, yeah I'd agree with you on that one.

City lights don't seem clustered enough or something.

I made them with photoshop and mapped them to a CG sphere, like it says in the thread title.

They're pretty darn good Carl! You might want to play around with atmospheres a bit more though?

Also, this one (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/Carltheshivan/planet10.jpg) would make a great Descent 2 shield sphere if you painted it blue and smoothed out the texture somewhat ;)

The one with lava rivers is awesome!

As Kalfireth said, it would make an excellent shield sphere too!

Are the maps fully spherical? I'd have a really neat use for the Lava River map, if you're willing to lend it (proper credit will be given, of course). I can tell you what it is through PMs if you want.
