I made a mission which has a debris field, but the game crashes when loading the mission and shows a error message:
Error: Can't open file
File:E:\Languages\Visual Studio Projects\Visual C++\fs2_open\code\Model\ModelRead.cpp
Line: 1543
So, what now? :)
-
It's trying to load Terran Debris (i.e the FS2 file). That's probably not in the stand alone.
-
Yeah, that's true. Just noticed that part of the error message is missing from my post, Tdebris01, or something.
But, making a debris field isn't possible in TBP or is there something wrong in my end?
-
Until someone makes TBP-specific debris models, it's not possible. I want to make a generic set to replace the Freespace versions too, so maybe TBP can remap them and use them later.
-
Well, I made a quick solution. I took FS2 debris and mapped them with TBP debris maps...
-
that'll do the trick. Those debris fields are hideous though, thus my desire to upgrade them a bit.
-
True. But atleast I got some debris now :p

How awful these look?

I also made Minbari and generic debris...

Not bad. I would recomend that you actually take pieces from specific ships to use for debris though.
