My modem does hate you  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Very impressive, I like it! Especially the forward weapons, this thing is definitely an offensive ship I think. If you wanted to make it fit in with FS better you could replace the long tube turrets with standard FS2 beam turrets, but she's your ship, and she looks mighty fine.

Nice lookign ship, Kazan!  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) But you may want to reduce those beam cannons to FreeSpace standards.

Just my opinion.

If not then I'll be able to slap out my Athena Mk II and GTDn Alexandra  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

What ship should he have done it from? I don't remember having seen that design before.

I meant as far as taking a current ship model and changing it into a new ship. Least Shrike told me that didn't count.

Don't get me wrong...I like the design  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) Just wanting some clarification on the contest  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I was under the impression the models had to be 100% from stratch.

Uhm, I know what you meant. It's only, what ship should Kazan have used as template for his entry? I don't remember this design from anywhere, have never seen it before.

From his pics I'd say it was a Demios used as the base model.

I'm sure the other ship is supposed to be the entry. The Deimos is just there for comparison  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

lol

I meant it looked like the other ship was made using the Demios as a base.

Looking at the two I noticed simularities.

Either way it's still a cool model.

The only thing it has in common with the Deimos is size class, and textures

the deimos was there for size comparision

the large external turrets are for saving internal size - larger reactor

I love that design. It looks a bit like something I (unsuccessfully) made once  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

But that design looks very original. I actually think the underside looks better than the top  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

I merely said it looked like the Demios had been used as a base. It was just my opinion, didn't mean to offend you or something Kazan.

Explain to me how you think that.. the only thing they have in common is the textures, and that isn't the origional texture set for the liberty.. it's the new textures

*sigh*

Look I appologized for it and stated it was my OPINION.

If that's not good enough sorry.

ALL I said was TO ME it had looked like the Demios was used as a base model. As in using a Demios cob and reworking it. I wasn't attempting to "put down" your model or you in anyway.

You said it was an original and I replied "Ok sorry"

It was just the way some of the design looked compared to the Demios beside it. Like the rear has a similar "layout" for lack of a better term.

Alot might have simply been the texturing also.

Hey, Kaz, are those chin beamers on a rotating turret?  They're mounted on that dome that looks a lot like a turret base, and I'm just curious...

Y'know, I think we have a winner here... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
