But very cool nevertheless. I've tried to find out more about the guy, but so far nothing. SICAF is actually the name of the arts/media convention where this took place.

An overhead projector and sand, what a wonderfull combination in the hands of a skilled artist.

It's beautiful on so many levels: the pictures themselves, the fact that they're telling a story, the skill with which he can shape sand into the pictures, the control he has over his hands, the fact that he makes it look easy and effortless, and the fact that he can do it quickly and still make it look nice.  And probably several other levels too.

I really like the fact that he can make it so that you have NO clue whatsoever about what he's making, but when he puts in a single final touch it all becomes clear as day.
