is everyone getting told they have hacked tables
i think perhaps someone broke my authentication code....
-
Yes. Hacked tables suck.
Can the default FS2 standard tables, and lightspeed's graphically improved tables be approved?
-
they have been
someone ****ed with the validation routine and busted it and i don't have access to the SQL database to make sure im right
-
That might just be a problem with the 3.6.5 mediaVPs, I got some tables from Firecrack, IIRC, and they got mixed up when I added them so that the ones in mv_effects were actually the multiplayer ones.
I've tried to fixx0r the problems in the 3.6.6 VPs, if you'd like to see them for validation I can provide copies.
-
I just extract the tables from MVcore and place them in the data directory and everything works allright for me. It still is rather a pain...especially for noobs. It should be fixed.
-
i disabled all media vps
-
mv_aseffects and mv_effects caused hacked tables......like a week ago.
Don't know about now.
And what do you mean you "disabled" all media vp's? They should all be validated.
-
Not the tables in mv_aseffects.vp
-
i disabled them on MY system to see if they were the problem
-
you know I just had an idea, what if we have two ships tables, one for single player and one for multi-player, we'd just need two ship_info arrays and we chould change Ship_info into a simple pointer that was directed to wich ever array was relevent to the mode we were in.
by default if it couldn't fine a ships_multi table it would just have both the single and multy arrays pointing at the same block.
-
ok
-
speakin of hacked tables, i have FSPort installed, plus FS2 music replaced with FS1 music, and i don't get a "hacked tables" thing.
-
weirdness
-
i don't mind :D
-
i do.. someone probably tried to modify the tablecrcs table in the database without knowin WTF they were doing cause the code looks fine
-
guess someone hacked your database and made it look like nothing happened. it's possible, ya know.
-
rotfl
probability of dbase being hacked: 0%-0.0001%
probability someone with permissions to the db changed it without knowing what they were doing: >50%
-
:nervous:

I don't have any problems with it now, but I remember a while ago, when I installed a german campaign, I didn't get the hacked table message, but ingame almost all ships (inc fighters) could carry over 80 Helios, erinyes had a speed of 120 and so on. that was a few months ago though.
