I know I'm a sequel behind the times, but I just finished KOTOR 1 and I've got a couple of confusions. Does anyone know:
1) What you get for achieving Light (or dark) Side Mastery aside from the -50/+75 force modifiers?
and
2) If there is any way to decompress the music WAVs so that WinAmp, QCD or WMP can read them?
Cheers if you do.

Concerning #2 : http://kotortool.home.comcast.net/
It's a tool to extract the media files from the KOTOR data files.
-
Concerning #1.
I think that's it. Plus the kewl beam of light when your good, or steamy red glow when your evil.
I guess you get a distinct feeling of satisfaction when your completely evil and that stupid wookie is still locked away with the slavers...
-
#1; I think you get a special outfit at the endgame and maybe you have to be above 75% (or so) evil / good to wear the dark/light side items.
-
Oh yeah.
That's if you've got a truckload of splicers and a decent hacking skill.
-
I actually started playing this for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I got stuck, so it's gone back on the shelf in favour of Colin Mcrae for now...
-
Stuck where?
NB: Which Colin? I have CM3 sitting somewhere for the PS2...... I ****ing hate Sweden.
EDIt; oh, for fudge sake......
-
Not really much benefit to it, other than the force powers and the cool look your face gets when you're evil, which is balanced out by the whole "Feel my righteous fury!" thing when you're good.
As a note, anyone not realize you can take out the vegetable Jedi in the last battle? I didn't, and managed to take out Malak thanks to an incredibly liberal use of shields and medpacks.
-
I think most people know that GW.
If you have high enough computer skills (and a ton of spikes) you can find a special console in the Star Forge that will make the Star Forge robes, which will either be light or dark depending on your final alignment. After that, its really only the force power thing.

lol Grey Wolf.
That must of been very frustrating.
-
Okay, feeling thick...
I've looked at the site and the program (all the file trees) but I can't find any mention of the streams. Is there another module that I have to d/l?
p.s: Where do I find that console? Missed that...

On KOTOR: I just got into the lift, and got hammered when I got out "We don't like Sith here" or something like that
On Colin Mcrae 04: Finland Stage 3/4 - I'm just redoing over and over, I can't seem to get enough grip to finish above 6th or 7th

(presuming the Taris lift)
Ah, you just need to fight better. Or spend some cash on better toys, or simply just change down the difficulty.
You're not trying to go down on your own, are you?
-
There's a lot I don't get - like how to 'fight better' you click, then you fight, how can you make it better or worse? apart from changing weapons obviously...
And, I have some guy with me, yep...

Use the force.
Actually, I was being cheeky. Must be more blatant next time :p
Um, buy better weapons & armour - they help... I think if you need money there's a few people hanging around in situations you can profit from.
Grenades are also good for softening them up, in particular... I think you'd probably be best to switch out of the sith armour ASAP, too; I believe it's not particularly good.
Just to be doubly clear; this is the bit where you get into the under-levels for the first time, yes?
-
Yes that's it. I'll try the armour switch next time, thanks

Surpisingly, it wasn't. Mainly due to the fact that the first time through I was playing a combat-focused Soldier/Jedi Guardian. Master Flurry, Master Speed, and the ability to take massive damage can be quite a powerful combination.

Oh hell, I don't remember exactly. I think its one floor down from where you run into Bastilla later. I think. Explore every nook and cranny of each level. It's behind a door, so check to see if they open and you should find it.
-
The console is in one room down the big hall full of turrets. When you reach the hall, you will see in front of you a huge gallery with lots of ships ascending. Turn left, go all the way down the hall, and turn left again on the last room. That´s it.
You can make several robes, btw. Not just one.
-
Actually, there is a bonus for mastery. Depends on side and jedi class
Lightside:
Guardian: +3 str
Consular: +3 chr
Sentinel: +3 con
Darkside:
Guardian: +1d8 lightsaber damager
Consoluar: +50 force points
Sentinel: Poison immunity

Sorry to drag this one back to the top, but my question doesn't merit a new topic:
Just bough a cheap copy of Far Cry, but it won't launch. Installed fine, but it just freezes at the spach screen.
Here's the good part: afterwards, my DVD drive is gone. It's not in My Computer, or the device manager, and only a restart brings it back. It's a generic 16X DVD, no writing abilities or authoring software. Basic Windows XP drivers dated 1/7/2001, but I don't know who made it so I can't get any more recent. I'm going to try Ubisoft, but they didn't help me last time I had a prob with one of thier titles.
Can I fix this, or do I need a new drive?

Now that there is a talk about KotOR I here, I would ask a question:
Has any of you managed to save Sunry from the court? I found proof that he's guilty, but I believe there must a way to save him from any punishment.
Anyway, if you have any questions, feel free to ask from me, I am completing this game for the fifth time now.

You can.
There's a guide here which details how to (amongst other things); http://www.gamebanshee.com/starwarskotor/walkthrough.php

There's a particular pattern of proof you need to present for Sunry to go free, even when you know he's guilty as all hell. The guides on gamefaqs are pretty good about laying it out for you.
